  1. This is a great thread. I wonder if anyone here could help me please. I have a MY15 car with Columbus MIB1- High Harman 5E0 035 020C and the full size screen and my car also has Canton. The MIB1 unit's DAB system has failed so I have two options. Like for like replacement 5E0 035 020 if I can find one Upgrade to MIB2, retain the screen.. but.. I have Canton. Can anyone advise if an MIB2 upgrade is possible for my Canton equipped car whilst retaining the screen? If so, what part number for the MIB2 unit and USB plug (to enable carplay) Many Thanks, Lee
  2. Update to this.. I couldnt figure out the issue. Found a retrofit company/coder about 2 hour drive away. It appears to be a hardware issue with the DAB controller. EEPROM failure. On the hunt for a used unit now. 5E0035020 If anyone has one?
  3. I have a 2015 Octavia with MIB1 and Columbus.. with my phone paired to my car, it puts a pin into my iPhone Maps of where my car is. Never tried it if someone moves my car without me in it.
  4. Great minds.. I've just added the 3 Vin - Hex V2 into my basket. I have a Mk6 Golf as well as my Skoda so could be a good investment.
  5. Thank you. Unfortunately the map is empty in approx 100 mile radius from my location. I'll give local indy a call. Edit, local VAG specialist not interested..
  6. Any recommendations for someone in Cornwall or close to that I could use?
  7. Hello All, 2015 Octavia vRS, owned for about 4 years faultless until yesterday. Switched on after being parked up for a few hours and noticed the radio wasn't tuned in, went to change station but all I had was FM, no DAB, the option doesnt even appear. Columbus MIB1 - It was running 0360, now updated to 0411. Interestingly, in the 0411 update when I look at all of the modules "Tuner" is N/A, no submenu. If I look back at the previous 2015 install on 0360, Tuner has sub-menu for DAB and E2P. DAB was version 197384. However, I can no longer see this with 0411 version. Media, Phone, Bluetooth, Nav etc are all still working. Any input greatly appreciated. Thanks, Lee
  8. Is there any update to this? 2015 Columbus MIB1 running fireware version 0411. The DAB just vanished yesterday morning and despite resetting it hasn't come back. Not added anything to the car, nothing extra electrical. Been fine for the past 4 years.
  9. No complaints. Especially liked the car health check video sent to my phone. No issues with mis quoted prices. I will probably use them again.
  10. I have a 6 months unlimited mileage warranty. The car is really clean. They are p/x cars from their main Skoda dealership just down the road, Garland Motors.. good reviews for them on here.
  11. Have a look at Winchester Motor Company, Garland Used Cars, Aldershot. Last week I purchased a 2015 Octavia VRS TDi DSG hatch, 40k for £13k.. It has a lot of options!
  12. All done, total price £175.00.. Knocked off £4 due to a different price listed on their website, not bad. Happy all sorted now. Thanks for all replies
  13. These guys are listed on Skoda website: http://www.skoda.co.uk/dealers/camberley-service-centre
  14. I have just booked my car in here for a DSG oil and filter change because unfortunately Garlands couldn't get me in for a couple of weeks and I need use of the car working away. Lady on the phone confirmed fixed price is £179.00.. the online booking system says £216.. lets see what happens..
  15. Price confirmed as £179.00.. so thanks to above who mentioned this price.
  16. Update: Phoned my two local Skoda dealers today. The price is £179 and to ignore the online quotation system. I have to drop the car off to them the night before and collect the following day because, I quote.. "the oil is left to drain overnight and must be filled and checked whilst temperature is below 30 degrees celcius"
  17. I’m not on fixed servicing at the moment, I will be from next service.. so I guess for now I dont get the £179 deal.
  18. Not entirely sure.. Skoda list it as £179 for the oil change but when I try to book it, my only option is £214 oil AND FILTER change. My local indy is £219 for oil and filter change. Too late to telephone now but I will get to the bottom of it tomorrow. Cheers,
  19. Is there a record in the car memory which would know if the service has been done? EDIT: confirmed now that it was missed. £219 at my local indy or £214 at my local main Skoda dealer.
  20. Too true.. The local indy VW specialist that looks after my mk6 Golf does a DSG oil and filter service for £219.. Skoda say DSG oil change for £179. How much is the filter? I'm inclined to go elsewhere now.
  21. I will, trust me.. I already had to call them today for not replacing the key fob batteries which were giving me a warning to be replaced and they weren't.
  22. Thanks for the responses.. yes, unfortunately having zero experiences in these cars I wasn't sure. I'll get it booked in now for a DSG oil and filter for peace of mind. Cheers,
  23. Hi All, Is the DSG oil change listed as a Skoda service item that should be done at 40,000? I have the service record from my recently purchased 2015 Octavia VRS TDi DSG and it has a cross in the NO box of the DSG oil and filter. The car is now on 48k, the service was done last at 40k. The main dealer salesman told me the boxes are sealed for life but the forums are telling me otherwise. Regards, Lee
  24. Hello all, For those with VRS seats, what have you done for rear seat passengers entertainment? In my Golf I bought the genuine VW accessory iPad holder so my son could watch Netflix on long journeys.. but doesn't fit in a VRS as it doesn't have separate headrests. Thanks, Lee
