  1. Update: Called Skoda and mentioned the above points. Dealership manager informed me that the technician had "switched cylinder 2 and 3 as it was not clear where the misfire was coming from and the misfire had only occurred on 2 occasions, sometimes errors don't stare you right in the face" He then told me procedure is to do this before changing the coil pack etc., I stated I am not happy as they have acknowledged there is an error and not rectified it, and it is still misfiring. He has booked me in to take it there on Friday (again) to 'have a look'. Does that sound right or are they trying to cut corners?
  2. Okay, I'll give them a call after work and advise I'm not happy with the outcome, as the car is not fit for purpose, and request all 4 plugs are checked instead of just switching ignition coils around. I'll update with what they come back with, I've found they often try to deter from doing warranty work in my experience. Thanks for all your help
  3. Car was serviced at 51k, now on 61k, plug last changed at 57k. Full service history.
  4. Thanks for your response. To my knowledge and memory (I don't have the invoice of the work done in November to hand) they changed the one faulty plug/injector, and left the other 3. The misfire is intermittent and only comes on occasionally, but the technician this morning has acknowledged a fault code is coming up. Are they entitled to refuse to change all 4 as they cant justify it under my used car warranty? Thanks again.
  5. Hi All, (Apologies if this was supposed to be posted somewhere else, or there is a thread on it) My MKII Fabia vRS (13 plate, 61k) has been misfiring for quite some time. In November I had to have skoda assist out to tow me home due to a complete loss of power, and if I remember rightly they changed one of the spark plugs or injectors (apologies I'm not very car savvy as you can tell). The same problem is happening again and I booked it in for today. This morning I went to the dealer for them to investigate the issue, only for them to tell me there is an error code popping up, however as they don't know which cylinder it is, they can not justify changing the whole coil pack and spark plugs under my used car warranty, so I have left having the technician tell me 'I've just swapped them over so if it goes again I'll know which one it is'. What would you advise I do about this? I'm concerned that the misfiring part is still in there, and they have done nothing about it. I don't know too much about the ins and outs as you can tell, and as a newbie any help would be massively appreciated. Thanks.
  6. Apologies, I was panicking yesterday and must of just forgot lol. Cheers for your help I’ll be sure to have it checked.
  7. Update: AA have been out via Skoda Assist, guy said it was the turbo boost sensor, as a result of the inter cooler pipe not being clipped on properly and it had popped off. He clipped it back on (tightly this time), reset the code and told me to take it for a spin, all seems fine again now, exhaust warning light is off and it’s not limping anymore.
  8. Thanks for your help, Skoda assist are on their way to have a look and then it’ll be back with the dealer tomorrow
  9. To be honest no I don’t know too much about them mate, some enlightenment would really help me! Ive got the service history at home, will post when I get home, got it from Skoda in Burntwood, with a 12 month warranty. Ive been putting in Shell V-Power too!
  10. Hello all, I picked up my Fabia vRS yesterday (2013) 51,000 miles. The first time I took it out, for the first 30 miles or so, it was shifting through the gears nicely and accelerating really quickly. However I went back out in it a couple of hours later and instead of the rapid acceleration, all im getting is really high revs and not much go, almost feels as if the car is holding back, or stuck etc. This has all been done in ‘D’ mode too. I’m very confused so any help will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance, Luke
  11. As long as it’s in the right place now it’s all cool
  12. Hello all, I've recently bought a mk2 Fabia vRS, white with a black roof and black wheels, 2013. Has anyone got any suggestions for any must have accessories? (Interior or exterior) or any modifications? Thanks in advance
  13. Thanks for the advice folks, much appreciated
  14. Hello all, what is the best fuel to use for the mk2 Fabia vRS, seen plenty of conflicting ideas, what does everyone use? (Apologies if this has been covered elsewhere)
