Infotainment screen - Touch has gone awry - replacement cost / advice?
Thanks for everyone for your input into this. I sourced a replacement screen (Thanks to @pab567for confirming the part number) from a breakers on eBay, along with a set of removal keys. 5 minute job to pop off the dodgy screen and replace it with the new one. Now the touch screen works as it should. Total cost about £100, in comparison to the dealer wanting £950 (!) for the job.

Oh, and I thought of another one: Any particular recommendation on which removal keys are required for this unit?

Infotainment screen - Touch has gone awry - replacement cost / advice?
Thanks for all this help. Is there any coding to be aware of if replacing the display unit? (But keeping the same glove box unit?)

Infotainment screen - Touch has gone awry - replacement cost / advice?
The car is at the dealer so I can't easily get the software version right now (I will ask them shortly), but here's a picture of the unit to help with identification. T

Infotainment screen - Touch has gone awry - replacement cost / advice?
Hey all, My infotainment screen has gone the way of the ghost: As others have posted here before, it is the symptom where it doesn't respond to touch, or it 'touches itself' randomly. Sets in during the colder months. I now want to get this repaired prior to selling the car. I'm after advice on this, and estimates. My local Skoda dealer in the UK wants £250 for a 'software update' (which I doubt will solve the issue - but curious for opinions), or £900 (!) for a new screen. Thoughts? Thanks all!

How quick for dealer to process order?
HI @Kenny R Your first sentence sums it up: It's when the order should go into Skoda themselves. This is what I've had zero confirmation on, and no response from the dealer. No ETA on delivery date. So, I totally know that build times are really up in the air due to the current supply issues. What I'm unhappy about is the dealer sandbagging actually making the order. I'll give them another day but then will exercise 14 day cancellation rights and go to a different dealer (and poll on here for recommendations for those that have better comms).

How quick for dealer to process order?
Hi, Bit unimpressed with my local dealer so far so wanted to sense check. Have placed an order with them, but everything in the process is so slow. From the manager calling to sort the finance check, to... well... not sure, as it's now gone quiet again, so I have no idea if the dealer has actually placed the order with Skoda yet. It's been over a week since agreeing the spec, pricing etc. Is this standard or other dealers a bit more responsive with making things happen?

PCP deals
Hi everyone, Looking into ordering soon (60). Obviously, am aware of the horrendous uncertainty on delivery times. We're thinking of the PCP route at this time, and therefore is anyone aware of any particularly good deals on this right now? In opening rounds with dealers at the moment, and certainly no incentives whatsoever being offered at the moment by default to go down the finance route....
