  1. Yes, don't jump ship now Jim. (out of the frying pan into the fire). IF another make's model was available there is probably a good reason for it not being popular! Only place I would try (as they got us an excellent new SUPERB that was already leaving the factory 4 years ago) is CAR WOW.
  2. Heated front screens definitely the way forward. Disabled friend of mine had them on his Ford nearly 20 years ago. We had them on our Freelander several years later. Other manufacturers playing catch-up. I can see the vertical elements on the Karoq screen - more distracting in certain light conditions. But mainly forget they are there. No more frozen fingers scraping the car for me!
  3. Our Karoq SE L 2.0TDi 150PS 4x4 delivered in July (4 months from order date) has ad blue. If you read "Honest John"'s web site or column in Telegraph you will see it's not just Skoda that have had delivery times affected by WLTP. Hence why new car sales figures nationally for September have taken such a hit.
  4. We had Superb Estate in Petrol Blue - was very handsome.
  5. Good job 33q, Every sweetener helps.
  6. My Karoq "Rocky" SE L 2.0 TDI 150 4x4 in Meteor Grey. With Heated Windscreen with heated washer nozzles, Family Pack, Spare Wheel, Scuff Plates for door cills, Rough Road Package, Electrically Operated Boot, Adaptive Cruise Control, Travel Assist, Mud Flaps front & rear. Ordered 20th March, delivered to dealers in Carlisle (excellent updates and communication from salesman) 7th July. Collected 19th July after being Williams F1 Ceramic treated. Originally offered £1500 discount off financed price, but as by time of delivery we were in the "3rd quartile" this was INCREASED to £2000 off the price being financed as part of the Skoda VWFS deal. Took this, then paid off in full after 2 months payments. Win, win.
  7. Great news. How long have you had to wait? Hope it fulfils expectations. Welcome to the "family"; We've just taken delivery of our 10th (even swayed Father-in-Law away from Fords and he had two 2nd hand Fabias).
  8. Have any other near by dealers (or Car Wow etc.) got any nearly new, or demonstrators available as an alternative? Will your dealer give you a guarantee on pricing/part-exchange against the TSI Edition? At least its already been registered so you know it exists! GOOD LUCK.
  9. My Karoq "Rocky" SE L 2.0 TDI 150 4x4 in Meteor Grey. With Heated Windscreen with heated washer nozzles, Family Pack, Spare Wheel, Scuff Plates for door cills, Rough Road Package, Electrically Operated Boot, Adaptive Cruise Control, Travel Assist, Mud Flaps front & rear. Ordered 20th March, delivered to dealers in Carlisle (excellent updates and communication from salesman) 7th July. Collected 19th July after being Williams F1 Ceramic treated.
  10. We tried to get the wheel arch protector/trim (for our SE-L 2.0 Tdi 4x4) but it's no longer listed as an available extra alas. Looks good here.
  11. Sorry Timmh, you'll just have to see what stock supply your dealers already have at the showroom or already en route. Or try CarWow - they did us a cracking deal on a Superb a few years back. Good luck.
  12. Our dealer said he'd been quoted 47 weeks for new build ordered now if requiring factory build.
  13. Although not new to Skoda ownership (having started in about 1990 with a 2nd hand rear engine 130), and about to rejoin the fold with our 10th Skoda - the long awaited Karoq SE-L 4x4, I have only recently discovered this forum. Any update on a get together (near Cumbria??)

    Delayed

Worth the wait then. The wife's not keen on leather, having had that before, as can feel cold, and tricky to clean if blue denim jeans worn (especially on beige leather like we had on our Superb).
  15. From "Honest John" (Telegraph and on-line motoring expert and journalist) : It would be illegal and actually impossible to register a non-EU6d TEMP / WLTP after 31 August. Worst still, if you attempted and failed the car would have to be crushed, so essential to get a non-EU6d TEMP / WLTP registered on or before 31 August. This was also confirmed today by our dealer. So best to have full and frank discussion with your dealer to make sure you don't end up throwing the baby out with the bath water. They wouldn't want the bad press of misadvising you, or losing the goodwill of a customer.
