As per title - anyone got pics?

I've had one fail and I've started to feel a hesitation again. So I've got new plugs and plan on replacing the coil packs too. Just wondering where best to get them from. Saw the sticky but two of my plugs are now non-original so I guess that even if I was eligible, they'd only replace the other two anyway. For peace of mind I just want to replace the lot.

Could well be a buckled wheel. Worth asking about when you next get them balanced.

It’s not stopping me spending money on it Figured that as I plan to keep it long term it’s worth spending a few more notes to tidy it up cosmetically. I’m still quids-in compared to leasing though... ...as long as I don’t go mad on things. Must. Be. Sensible.

I’m sure that retail prices having been rising over the last few years too. Leasing’s affordable so even if you discount Brexit, manufacturers can get away with increasing prices. ‘Buyers’ barely notice as they’re only looking at the monthly payment.

I’m about to hand back a business lease car. £400+VAT per month I’ve had it for two years. It was fine, in the same way that Primark is fine when you actually want Levis. Except you’re *paying for Levis* and *getting Primark*. It was a pickup. I have dogs. I have mountain bikes. And I camp regularly. It’s amazing quite how impractical a pickup can be. The new marketing angle is that a pick-up is a ‘lifestyle vehicle’ for millenials. Whoever they might actually be. The reality is that it met none of my needs. So I paid a couple-of-months-worth of lease payment on a mk1 vRS estate. And own it outright. It’s like flicking the finger to everyone and I love it. It’s cost me a few quid so far (coilpacks, plugs, LCAs, springs, hands-free, dynamat, speakers, badges, BBS) but partly because I’m picky. Ultimately though I wanted something that will last and will keep providing me with a fun driving experience whilst doing all that I ask of it. The roof rack is on. Bikes go on there. Between the boot and the rear seats, camping is easy. Next step is a detachable towbar so I can mount the bikes on the rear and leave the roof for a roofbox. Point being - I’m saving hundreds per month. The car meets every one of my requirements. And it’s fun! No question here so move along. I should probably have posted this in the newbies intro section but hey.

As per title really. Recently had rear springs replaced and -now that they’ve settled - the stance is reasonably flat. Bit high though with 18s, so I’m looking at some inexpensive coilovers. Happy to fit myself and looking at the JOM Blueline. They seem reasonable quality and performance for not much dough. So what else should I do at the same time? Any hidden costs I need to consider?

Thanks guys. The rears have settled a bit now so I’m fairly sure they’re the correct springs. Tho there is still a little nose-down stance. Which would make sense when it comes to being loaded up I guess. I’ll flatten it out when coilover time comes

Should it be? It’s on the correct/standard springs apparently. I just had the garage replace the rears and I made it very clear that they had to be specifically vRS springs. It’s *still* 15mm higher at the rear, the same as it was before they fitted the new ones. Looks weird to me but I can’t find any pictures to compare it to. Odd that it just happens to be 15mm which I believe is the difference in ride height between a vRS and others? So should it be higher at the rear? Have two garages in a row screwed up? Should I just buy the correct springs and fit them myself for piece of mind?

Yeah, I've used the calculator and then measured the difference with a tape measure on the car. It's really tight so need to know if someone's tried that exact size

Aargh. Looks like it's gonna be close. Can anyone confirm before I hit the 'buy' button? I've measured up and it looks like they might stick out just a little too far...

Really quick one but I'm looking at some TT MK1 Ronal wheels for my 2003 VRS estate. Diameter: 18" Width: 7.5J ET: 32 Planning on 225/40/18s. I know a 17" would fit. Will 18" also fit without trouble/rubbing? I'm on stock suspension at the moment but might lower slightly in the future.
