    New car

This must be the shortest forum membership ever. Skoda have stopped supplying motability with petrol Superb estates and therefore are now no longer being offered. My order is now cancelled and I will be looking to get a VW Passat estate GT instead. Goddbye all.

Have not seen the motability form yet, but price and up front payment is as on the motability site on the order form in my possession. The dealer will not submit the order to motability for a week or so as they have to train up another Motability salesman.

Well it's done. Ordered Superb estate SEL Exec. 1.4 (will be 1.5) DSG in petrol blue with beige interior, heated windscreen, heated washer nozzles, heated steering wheel and backrest release from boot. Only really ordered with the dealer as factory orders cannot be made until the factory reopens mid August. Dealer estimate of delivery date is anywhere from 3 - 6 months after factory reopens. The car will be the 2019 model - whatever that means.
  4. Thanks for that. Please see my reply to xman
  5. Probably not. I was told today that if I order now, there would be about a six months waiting time and that the car would be a MY 2019.
  6. I am about to order a Superb SEL Executive 1.4 act DSG tomorrow. Can I expect that the engine will be the later 1.5 as fitted to the Karoq? If so, I would not expect any teething troubles as it has been on the Karoq for at least six months now. Also, any ideas about lead times for this car. It will probably be a factory order as I will be specifying quite a few extras such as heated windscreen and steering wheel.
  7. I have had the same problem with my local Skoda dealer. I spoke to the motability salesman to request an extended test drive to make sure that I would be comfortable in the car. (Superb SEL Executive estate 1.4 tsi dsg.) This was 5 months before my change date, to give him time to source the exact model for me. He said "No problem", and then didn't reply to any phone calls or request to call me back, - the same with emails. After 2 months of this I gave up on the local dealer and travelled 20 miles to an alternative dealer who was the exact opposite of the first. Although the car I test drove was not an estate, it was the same spec as I wanted. The salesman was one of the most helpful I have come across, and I am booked in for a second extended test next week. Due to this experience, I will NOT be using the local dealer for servicing etc. but will hope that I will be able to use the collect and delivery service of the supplying dealer, or failing that a loan car.
  8. Hi All, will be ordering a new Superb estate 1.4act DGS in about a weeks time - on the motability scheme. Just want to say hello and that I hope to gl;ean a lot of useful info on this site.
