Leaking oil on driveway
Further problems! Since receiving the car back from the dealer: on the 31st August, after nearly 2 weeks of driving an engine oil level to high warning light came on. Phoned Skoda breakdown, they siphoned some oil out from the opening where the grommet is (where the dipstick used to be). The grommet also snapped when being removed by the technician and an amount fell into the engine block is my understanding. So, now its been towed back to the garage on September the 1st and I've still not got it back yet. My understanding is that they are waiting for an actual dipstick part this time, and i hope they flush or fish out that grommet piece that fell into the engine block. I also sent them x2 quotes to chemically degrease my drive, steam clean it and sand it.... no response yet after verbal promises to 'sort it'.

Leaking oil on driveway
The garage resolved the issue in the end by going through some set sequences the technican recommended.... said it was an airlock? So, I cannow travel around the UK next week knowing I can see my oil level.

Leaking oil on driveway
Breakdown assistance couldn't resolve it. Had the sensor block off and back on again, no difference, no error codes. Atleast confirmed no oil leaks. So I'll be straight back RRG Skoda Rochdale tomorrow, and will update. Christ almighty VAG remove these crap electronic engine oil level sensors. Something so simple with a dipstick has now become so complicated without one.

Leaking oil on driveway
Absolutely shocking, told I would have breakdown assisting at 1630 noone turned up, so called them and told me it would be 10am tomorrow by a Skoda technician...... they said they could get an AA roadside to me by 6pm so I took that opportunity. Will update later

Leaking oil on driveway
Exact same problem. Mine was registered winter 2024..... took it in for first service with RRG Skoda Bury 22nd July 2025 then my problems began.... did a trip to Scotland and back, stopped and engine oil low light. Topped up with 0w20 2 litres and could tell it was getting lower over time on the oil meter (no oil dipstick is so frustrating!!). Then I saw oil on driveway and exactly as the OP said between front axles. Took it back into RRG Bury on their advice (dealer who i bought it new from), they changed some oil filter/seal and did another oil change.... Now the problem i have is the engine oil level sensor is unavailable. Can't see any oil witness underneath the car though thank god. So, have called breakdown assistance as I refuse to drive it in a situation where I may be driving it dry as I dont know oil level.

Yes totally agree with this.... i was on the M6 and car started putting on the brakes really heavy as it thought it had seen a 30mph when I was doing a 70mph

Auto emergency stop for no reason?
Hi Mikey, surely as the other poster intimates it could be downloaded from the ECU, event log. It is worrying.

Crikey, hope all OK involved. Have you told Skoda? If so is there any advice or remedial action?

Auto emergency stop for no reason?
Hi there, 2 mins after leaving the drive this morning, on a 20mph road the car for absolutely no reason decided to emergency stop, with the audible alarm and red message on dash, slam on brakes with seat belt tensioners tightening. About 1 min before that an amber collision warning came up very briefly. My 12yr old daughter was in the car to, and she confirmed there was absolutely nothing on the road. Nothing came at us from the side as there were no give ways to the side...... seriously WTF.... is it a leaf or something on the sensor that caused this? 74 plate SE L Kodiaq, 1.5 Tsi etec. MK2 Kodiaq Minor Problem
Hello there, I have updated my nickname via the Skoda app, and it will just not update the in car display nick name. I've tried swapping to guest and then back to the primary user but it just will not update. Tried rebooting the screen and still no luck. Other than that I love the car (SE L 1.5tsi etec, with HUD, adaptive cruise and winter pack) which is just fine and perfect on the motorway for over taking. Glad I didn't pay the extra £k's for 2.0 diesel. Getting about 500 to 600 to a tank at the moment. Took the car on handover day with a faulty powered boot.... it would lower and raise but would never lock. 2 weeks later it's fixed. Just left eith this minor software user sync issue.
