  1. Yes, if you let it do its job. On my 150tdi it kicks in when soot load is 24 grams and runs until it is at 5-6 grams. And then, it takes around 250km of city driving or up to 500 km of highway driving to start next regen. You have thread in first reply with useful info.
  2. Maybe it is DPF regen kicking in. VAG DPF is nice little app, it tells you basically when will it happen next. If revs are above normal when car is standing (around 1000) and engine is warm, it also can be sign of active regen.
  3. 150tdi estate Steady driving on highway - 5 l/100 km Sitting in traffic jam - 10l/100 km And everything in between... Average 6.4 l/100km over last 6kkm
  4. Yes it is. My colleague did the same.
  5. I don't know. I have only one user, and haven't changed anything under "account personalisation". Maybe you could check if setting for wipers is remembered for different users (if you have more than one) in "mirros and wipers" section. I mean, maybe there is no explicit "setting" under account personalisation. Just like for example seat positions - you don't "see" what exact seat inclination etc is saved, it just is.
  6. Have you checked this: Automatic rear wiper If the windscreen wiping is performed without interruption, then the automat- ic regular intermittent wiping of the rear window takes place. This function can be activated/deactivated in Infotainment in the menu  /  →  → Mirrors and wipers (activated/deactivated). Note ■ The rear window is wiped automatically if the windscreen wipers are on when reverse gear is selected. ■ The setting (activation/deactivation) of the automatic rear window wiping in the rain is stored (depending on the Infotainment type) in the active user ac- count personalisation » page 55.
  7. I had something similar. Coolant level when I took it from dealer (new) was 1 cm above max line. After 4000 km, it was in the middle between min & max lines. No warning lights. Dealer told me that it is normal for new engine (150 tdi) in bedding in process and he just topped it up. No visible leaks. Or maybe there was some air pocket in smaller radiator that was now gone which kept the level up before.
  8. Just to share my numbers... Superb estate 150 TDI, just over 3000 km on clock. city run - 17 km, 32 km/h, 5.1l/100km -> 55.4 mpg highway/local roads - 246 km, 66 km/h, 5l/100 km -> 56.5 mpg (full trunk, 2 people) best I saw was 61 mpg when I really tried to drive economically. recently, it became pretty easy to reach 5.5 or so even on shorter journeys if traffic is fluent...
  9. I had the same problem for the first couple of weeks - it stalled in 2nd gear maybe 5 or 6 times in that period, just as you described, when revs get low. TDI 150, start-stop off from day one. When stalled, it would automatically start up again in seconds. Previously I drove petrol Octavia and it seems that I just had to get used to new engine. Or maybe engine had to get used to me- they are getting smarter every day... Now, after couple of months of owning it, it doesn't happen at all. Hope it helps...
  10. Thanks all for replies.. I assume it is power-steering. Tried with auto-hold off and on, same thing. Air con is off. Definitely no elbows :-)
  11. I've noticed funny noises, like some hydraulics are working for a second or two, then pause, and again, when wheels are turned fully left or right, driving slowly, not breaking. I can't hear them with windows closed. It's nothing like rumble or similar.. any ideas? It's like that from the beggining and my colleague has same car and same noises, so it is not really an issue, I'm just wondering... no DCC btw Tnx
