  1. Hello, I have an Octavia Scout on order but now my sales representative ends up with a long lead time, end of March next year. He offer me an Octavia Estate VRS245 petrol as an replacer. Very nice car but will this one be good enough in winter conditions with snow, does any have experience with this ? At least I can equip the car with spike tires here in Scandinavia, still allowed to do that This version is not with 4x4 as they offer on the diesel version here in Sweden
  2. I use the DEFA ChargerKit 1204 because I have an Webasto heater for my previous Yeti ( soon a new Octavia Scout TSI190 deliver time estimated to W44 and with same charger kit installed) This one compensate for my short trips to work and use of the heater who consume battery. The absolute best charger for Nordic winter time and it extend the lifetime of the battery https://www.defa.com/product/chargerkit-1204/
  3. I learned that Seat in Uk doesn't have the broschure we have here called Tekniska Specifikationer https://www.google.se/search?q=seat+teknisk&oq=seat+teknisk&aqs=chrome..69i57.7623j0j8&client=tablet-android-lenovo&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8
  4. On Seats website here in Sweden. SEAT Atecs 2.0 TSI 190hk (140kW) 4Drive with the DQ381-7A (RSA) Seat is always showing the gearbox information, Skoda never does.
  5. On my Skoda Yeti I got a similair sound when I drove over a bump or railway crossing. Skoda found out that they forgott to assembly a small bracket for the brake pads
  6. I think there is some point in this, I investigated the turbos we buy to Scania from Cummins Turbo Tech in Huddersfield. They use different turbine wheels and ceramic bearings to get higher speed, those bearings are expensive.
  7. Does any one know the technical difference between 2.0 190 TSI and the RS245 2.0 245 TSI . Is it hard ware as a different turbo and so on they use in this case or do they rely on soft ware tuning ?
  8. I agree with you Offski that sometimes you take a risk and are close to stupidity when you buy a car. My local sales representant was so sure about the replacement engine models Skoda will use to fulfill WLTP So I insisted on an written text in my contract about what engine and gear box they will put in my car when it will be produced W40. In my Swedish contract for my Octavia Scout 2.0 TSI190 it is stated like this in general, (translated in Google) : Depending on the situation of production and any changes that may be caused by the new WLTP test procedure, the ordered car may be upgraded to a corresponding car of a later version, which in some cases may involve more horsepower. Such upgrading takes place without additional costs for the buyer.
  9. Hello, Today I saw a Golf estate in White Silver metallic, very nice colour. I wondering If some body knows If Volkswagen's White Silver metallic colour B9Z is same as Skodas Moon white metallic S9R/2Y2Y ? SEAT use Glacier white LS9R and it´s same as Skodas Moon white. Happy for any clearifications.
  10. This evening I found out that a company in Belgium is offering 190 TSI in the octavia Scout. My order is not yet confirmed so I still wait for the final car specification from my dealer, I placed order 17/7 so It will probably be end of July or later https://www.arval.be/en/sme-renting/skoda/octavia-combi-2019-5d-wagon/2-0-tsi-greentec-140kw-dsg7-4wd-scout-5d
  11. There will probabley be more changings because of WLTP the demands. Here i Sweden I ordered an Octavia Scout 1.8 180TSI 4x4 DSG 6 and in the order it iss stated that I will get 2.0 190TSI. The sales guy are not sure but he thinks it is same as SEAT Ateca use with DSG7
