  1. Thanks Jfhuk, been doing a bit more digging and some people are say the issue is with the Samsung one connect.
  2. Hi We have been looking at new Televisions over the last week or so, and finally settled on a Samsung. We went into the local independent television shop, where the sales person asked do we have Sky Q, they then advised us to stay clear from Samsung Tv's as people are having problems connecting their Sky HD boxes to them. Can anyone shed any light on this ? To the sales persons credit they did point us to a different brand at a cheaper price, but the better half doesn't like the stand. Many thanks
  3. There is a place called wheelsmart in Lowton just opposite the Red Lion. I haven't used them myself but I know someone who used them for his BMW and he was happy with the repair they carried out.
  4. I was told by my dealer that my car was being this week. How long, on average will it take to reach the UK and be available for collection.
  5. There is a company on Newton Road in Lowton called wheelsmart. I have never used them only noticed as I've drove past, invariably I will be looking into getting mine done, after better half uses the alloys to ensure she's parked next to the curb.
  6. My better half is considering ordering the 1.4 tsi 150 (although I shall be using it mostly) and we are just wondering what colour to order as well as what optional extras to go for. So far we have decided to go for the 17" terons and stuck between 2 colours brilliant silver and candy white. Would anyone recommend adding the smartlink system and is it worth it and what exactly does it do.
  7. What a modest gentleman and true life hero, sadly the youth of today are more interested in Kim Kardashians latest holiday adventures, and worse still these so called celebrities are hailed as heroes by the the media
  8. So if I was to order a new car tomorrow on pcp would I be eligible for the £500 pound fuel card
  9. Well I've just popped into a skoda dealer this morning on the off chance of there being a 2nd hand petrol vrs in stock but there wasn't, the salesman I was dealing with mentioned a new one on interest free credit on a pcp deal over 3.5 years and that is with a good deal of discount and with the same px as Suzuki and Vauxhall where offering, so just got to talk the better half around (wish me luck).
  10. Just after a bit of advice with regards to running a diesel vrs,, when I bought the car I was commuting 55 miles a day but little did I know the company I worked for was being bought out, and with that came sweeping changes, including changing my shifts where I was working lates and nights only instead of just days. I now find myself with a new job with only a 4 mile commute, I try to take the car for a good blast up the M6 at least once every 2 weeks. My question is, will I end up with dpf problems as a result of the short journeys im doing and is there anyway I can avoid it, I need help as soon as possible, as the better half is trying to get me trade it in for a Suzuki Vitari or Vauxhall Mokka!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. Nice car mate, wish mine looked as clean as yours I have the same car as you but with white stitching I will keep an eye open for you as I spend a lot of time in Leigh, and then get dragged into Wigan (wrong side of the lump for me) to go shopping and visit friends. enjoy the motor
  12. Quite an ambigous one this, it should only be used , when say your are collecting/delivering and you have to wait to be called on to the dock to get loaded/unloaded, so when he's waiting in the refinery to collect his fuel he's fine, though the law does state the POA must be known of in advance. When he's dispensing his product from the tanker, he should be on other work as he should be checking his lines and checking tank ullage. Obviously I don't know what kind of tanker work your son his doing but if hes on small tankers mainly delivering to farms and houses, those wonderful VOSA people, may ask questions if they see a lot of POA suddenly appear on his tacho. When I first started using tachos about 5 years ago, the first time I got pulled over by VOSA, they where brilliant with me, I asked them loads of questions, looking back I think they where glad to get rid of me. He could always ask his transport manager to put it writing, and tell him if I get pulled by VOSA I will show them..
  13. hi I have just recently changed my job, which now means a commute of about 30 miles each way of mostly motorway driving. I am currently driving a fabia monte carlo 1.2 tsi and getting between 40 and 45 mpg and wondering what in the real world, everyone is getting out of the diesel vrs. the model i would be getting would be the manual version.
