  1. I've rebuilt BMW differentials in the past, so I guess this will be similar if I don't touch the Haldex parts. But right now the challenge is too get it out with the least amount of work Oil level in the Haldex is fine, oil looks good as well.
  2. The Haldex is fine. But the differential made a lot of noise (and shaking) and when draining the oil, only a couple of milliliter came out. Noise went away with new oil. But it will probably be better to open and check and/or replace.
  3. I have a 2015 Octavia Estate which needs a haldex differential replacement. When looking under the car, this looks like a big job, as the diff rests on the subframe. Dropping the subframe or the complete axle is probably the way to go by the official workshop manual. I did come accross this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8fc7gc1apjA When checking the boot area, I don't see these dimples, but I do see 2 circular cutouts in the sound deadening around that area. Can I use this method to speeds up the replacement process? If this is a common method to replace the differential, would there be some caps available to fill these holes afterwards?
