  1. I had to do mine a couple of weeks ago - took less than 30 mins. The hardest part is getting the electrical connector refitted. In addition to removing the triangular plastic piece where the mirror fits, I also pulled out the plastic piece where the mirror adjust control is - takes seconds and will give you a bit more room to manouvre and to see where the connector is. It helps to have small hands Have fun
  2. Hi I have a 2001 vrs and it was last serviced end of summer 2007. Mileage was a little under 50K. Having read comments posted on here I mentioned to the dealer at the time that I'd heard that the cam belt should be changed every 4yr or 60k and not as scheduled in service book- was getting a bit worried as car was over 6 yrs old at time. They didn't seem to know anything about it and quoted the 120K to me. So I contacted Skoda through their website who confirmed the 4yr or 60k.
  3. I've still got most of the lens intact and some outer shell as well so am not desparate. I would certainly be interested to hear what you think. Thanks
  4. 2001 Octavia vRS (45000miles) Had the engine diagnostic light come on recently and although it seemed to be running as normal, I took my car to the main dealer. Their computer came up with the following fault 16502 P0118 035 Sender for coolant temperature -G62 Signal too high I was charged
  5. Hi I think this sounds like a problem I had with my VRS. The plastic trim on the tailgate is just clipped on (pretty crudely) by several metal clips. In my case one of these clips wasn't fitted correctly and it was that rattling away. My local dealer sorted it in about 10mins but it did look like one of those jobs where a bit of knowledge/practice helped when getting all the clips to fit properly.
