  1. Old thread, similar question from former member back for more advice .... just bought 2012 MkII SE estate 2.0 Superb. No spare & no kit in the boot. Would prefer full size to space saver. Does anyone know where I can find full size kit (I have 225 40 R18s)? The market seems full of 16" spare kits but no 18 (other than space saver). Why is this such a rare bird?!
  2. Hi, thanks very much for this. Might try it next time, though I’m obviously hoping there won’t be one. From what you say it sounds as if the unit could potentially go out of true if you were carrying an unusually heavy load in the boot.... ?
  3. Thanks hwr- I tried that but unfortunately their reply is that the codes thrown up in their diagnostics say otherwise and that Skoda won’t accept it as a warranty i.e. manufacturing defect as soon as they see the codes. They pointed out tiny scratches on the radar cover (see photo - yes, quite, you’d need a microscope!) which a stone might have caused.... So obviously I need the car and coughed up. Hmmmm. Next step Customer Services. Will tell you if I get any joy..
  4. I’ve got this problem on my Superb MkIII and have been told by my dealer that it doesn’t come under warranty: they say a stone could do this or you can just get bumped in a car park. I don’t really fancy paying £199 for the repair. Has anyone succeeded in getting this done under warranty? Thanks and best, Alpinehut.
  5. Thank you for the welcome Oldmansomerset. Actually, I don't mind food shopping too much
  6. Clarkie, what are you waiting for?! I've had my 2017 Superb 2.0 SEL for ten days and could not be more pleased with it. After owning four Volvo v70 estates and a Renault Espace the Skoda is a complete revelation. As you say it not only looks great but is also ridiculously roomy and goes like a bomb if you want or need to, even fully loaded with gear & passengers on a long run. I've not yet completely given up using the stop start (which does take some getting used to and can be annoying - especially when it doesn't work when you expect it to and vice versa- an interesting thread on this reassured me I wasn't alone) and am too new to have experienced any other serious niggles so far. I tested an Octavia, which at my dealership was on at the same price (a shade under £20k) for 17 plates and sub 9000 miles on both - and both with plenty of toys. No competition. As soon as I took the Superb out I was smitten. Just wish it wasn't called Superb- what a totally daft name for a car. Good luck and let us know how you get on!
  7. Hello Skoda Crowd Just joined, and enjoying my new Superb estate so much I even volunteered to go to the supermarket today..
