  1. That may be true but still... If you are designing something that is supposedly going to be offroading, you should design it properly.
  2. Actually what you saw is not what you'll get... 1. Riding height is the same (it is exactly the same car after all) 2. The Virtual Cockpit is an option and not standard. 3. No VarioFlex back seats (at least I'm not seeing it as an option, most probably due to the different color scheme of the Scout's seats) 4. the towbar is an option. Also... Seriously... 19" wheels on a "designed for Off-road SUV"....?!? So basically, the Scout is a Style with different front and back bumper, bad roads protection, and some fancy badges...
  3. You are probably right. I wonder why they did not put such a "simply clever" option for Karoq...
  4. Thank you for the link! BTW are those "Protective door side sills" like the ones on the Kodiaq (that pop out when the door is opened) or something completely different? Ideas?
  5. Where did you find those specs and did that place also have the Scout specs?
  6. Officially no... but under the table, everything is possible And in this case I don't suggest ECU tuning but just using the original pre-WLTP ECU software that is 110% safe for the car. It just needs to be registered once and then the sky is the limit... But yeah... having to do all that just to get a car to the condition it was supposed to be in to begin with is not an ideal solution...
  7. I wonder what will persuade your dealer to load pre-WLTP software... Should be completely possible...
  8. I highly doubt it that they check all the modes... I just hope they don't f**k up the 2.0TDI 150HP engine... That is the one I'll be getting.
  9. Thanks guys! A little update: It appears that selling a 2 years old Chinese SUV that is still in warranty is not so easy... The moment I get rid of it, I'll be able to order my new Karoq... Maybe a Scout even...
  10. All of those articles are about Q3 (I presume Audi Q3) and Audi's engine settings have always been slightly different than the rest of the VAG brands. Also, most of the Karoqs have different driving modes that should negate such issues once you switch to Sport mode...
  11. I'm almost sure that the resolution of your phone's screen does not have anything to do with the Infotainment image quality during CarPlay/AndroidAuto. The screen resolution is changed to match the Infotainment screen and everything is scaled accordingly in those modes.
  12. Correct me if I'm wrong but there should not be any difference in the engines of pre and post WLTP cars. the only difference should be in the numbers for emissions. Also at worse there will be the new GPF (petrol version of the DPF) and AdBlue for all Diesel engines, but this should not affect performance...
  13. Actually no. The Digital Cluster is an entire additional computer powered by nVidia Tegra SOC. This thing has a high quality LCD screen (or at least a quality level for car usage) some RAM, some kind of MMC storage for the OS this thing runs on and so on. Look at this cluster as a high end specialized tablet. Oh and don't forget the "fancy new tech" tax
  14. Hey guys, Can someone with Varioflex seats do a little exercise for me please? Can you move the driver seat at the most back position possible and then measure the space between the front and back seats? I'm a big guy and to be able to fit, i need the driver seat pushed back as much as possible. Also, for comparison purposes, somebody else can do the same measurement with normal back seats. This will show if there is a difference and how much. For the Varioflex I would suggest putting them in their most back position also for the measurement. Thanks!
  15. Hey guys, I was wondering which of the so called smart assistants (Auto Light Assist, Lane Assist, Blind Spot Detect etc.) are purely Software features and which actually require certain hardware. For instance Front Assist supposedly includes the sensor cluster on the front of the car and the rest of the assistants that require those sensors are just software... (not sure about the front camera though) Basically I want to know which options I have to order so that I can then enable all the rest with OBD (VCDS or OBD11) Park Assist I know I need because of the button and stuff... I'm not trying to be cheap but need to fit into a certain price for my financing... Any Input will be appreciated! Oh and BTW according to the importer here in Bulgaria, I can now order the Digital Dashboard. The only thing is that it may play a negative role on the delivery date ( take a little longer to deliver it)
  16. Mhmmm... I see... So I guess "real sportsmen" are not driving their cars at minus 10C ...
  17. So basically, you either have a nice looking and feeling steering wheel or a heated one that looks worse than the one on the Dacia Duster.... nice... BTW... Former Dacia Duster owner
  18. After some additional research, it appears that this steering wheel is the so called Sport Multifunction Steering wheel and is an option in some of the countries both with or without DSG paddles. Unfortunately (for me) it seems that this steering wheel does not have heating :(
  19. The pictures are from a car sales site and the car is marked as 2017 so I doubt they have released the Sportline back then... Especially since it is not out yet ... On the other hand, I found this! ... Aaaand I found another 2 ads on some other car selling sites:
  20. Soo... it seems that it is possible... I just found a listing on a car selling site of a Karoq with this steering wheel! Any ideas what package this is part of? According to the ad, it is a 1.6 TDI Style with a Manual gearbox...
  21. Hey guys, While I'm waiting for Škoda Bulgaria to finally update the configurator with the 2019 specs (including the digital dash) I've been examining the Karoq very carefully. One thing that I didn't like at all during my test drive the other day, was the leather steering wheel finish... It is so smooth... ugh...it is like skin (I know... skin is still leather but...) Isn't there an option for perforated leather or at least some leather with a texture? Also, the DSG paddles are very tiny (and short) aren't normal (big and wide) paddles offered in any of the packages?
  22. Hey everybody, My name is Angel and I'm from Bulgaria. I'm in the process of ordering a new Karoq (waiting for the digital dash to become available for order). Hope to be a proud owner by the end of the year. I've driven a lot of different brands cars over the years, but this will be my first Škoda.
  23. This looks more like it is from the bracket itself. It doesn't look very well painted...
