  1. Had 1.0 Fabia as replacement today. 81kw. So I might be oversensitive, since I felt kangooroo in that car a well. In that respect following update Karoq is fine.
  2. Really weird my 2nd gear is perfect now.
  3. My thoughts. 4k km. First 1k was perfect, than thought maybe just me being paranoid. Still hope it's just me and it won't get any worse. It's fine now but definitely not as good as it was in my opinion.
  4. Yeah, my initial impressions were the same. See post in other topic. However, I have a feeling its getting worse.
  5. Has anyone noticed slight returning of rooing? Not as pronounced as before but leaving car in cold morning in first definitly kangooroos cca 3 times. Also slightly noticeable in driving off. Not as smooth as upon update. Did cca 4k km in about a month. 2nd gear issue solved perfectly though.
  6. Just had update on my 2019 Karoq. Did only few kilometers, however, the roo is 99.9% gone and dead range in 2nd seems to be 100% gone. Very satisfied. The kangooroo is still somewhere but not really noticeable or its just me being to sensitive. I would definitely not notice anything if I wouldn't know it used to be there.
  7. Honestly, I gladly help in this topic or in general, but I find AC as is just fine.
  8. According to Skoda official article a read not so long ago, the AC is the same in all Karoqa with only certain SW modifications with respect to the climate. Also EU cars are all said to be set to mild AC changes. Therefore such modification could be possible with respective app. https://www.skoda-storyboard.com/en/innovation/technology/air-conditioning-hot-facts-about-cooling/ From the article: The individual ŠKODA models feature the same air-conditioning system regardless of the market. Only the software is region-specific. and We distinguish between countries with mild climates and those with tropical climates, such as India and China. Here, the fan start-up curves are higher in order to generate more intensive air exchange. Cars in Europe respond more slowly,” explains Jan Hrnčíř.
  9. Yes, simply holding moving the bottom of the holder but it's definitely temporary. I figure some silicon oil or similar popular solution my do the trick long term, since there is minimum amount of movement that causes the rattle. I need to obtain some silicone oil first though, since I only pin pointed the source of rattle yesterday. Without reading throught similar topics, what is considered the silicon oil or solution of choice?
  10. I believe i figured out where the rattle comes from. Weirdly it's tle plastic behind the rear mirror, i.e. somekind of plastic cap attached to the mirror holder between the windshield and the mirror. Would have swore it was AC or something in the dash, but it makes sense. It is above the dash but below the roof, definitely exposed to temperature changes (sun / AC) and in the middle with respect to the driver and front passenger. Best regards
  11. As mentioned exactly the same issue with 1.5 manual GOLF VII. Its the "character" of the engine. Still love it though. Any new updates? Is the update in "final" version?
  12. Took delivery of my 1.5 Style manual Karoq on 11 April. The car was built on 21 March. The kangarooing when driving off and 2nd gear lack of power below (1000 rpm) is present, especially when cold. In respect of kangarooing It only bothers me though when driving in the first gear for the first couple of laps when leaving the garage from the work in the afternoon. Otherwise slight kangarooing can be felt even when the car is warm, but only when pulling away. I found that the tips presented herein help, namely accelerating with little more power (cca 1800 rpm) or without extra power, which actually eliviate the problem completely. Also it may be the ECU getting used to the driving; or 95 octanes (as opposed to first 4 tanks which were 100 octane); or just me getting used to the car, but I notice the kangarooing less and less when pulling away (the driving in the first remains an issue). With respect to 2nd gear lack of power, it is there but since I am aware of it I just add little more revs prior to releasing the clucth and the car never stalls. It is however a characteristics that requires adjustments to the usual driving style. In addition, I talked to the dealer in Slovenia regarding the issues. The dealer never denied them but rather confirmed that there were a couple of complaints. According to the dealer the update is available but the dealer suggested to wait a bit and see if its the final version. Moreover, apparently the update is not VIN related (at least with respect to MY19) and according to the dealer all 1.5 TSI have that jumpy characteristics. On the off topic. Test drove friends latest Golf VII 1.5 TSI manual a few days ago (delieverd in January 2019; German market vehicle). Exactly the same issue in respect of kangarooing, did not manage to test the 2nd gear issue. The friend noticed that it is hard to pull away especially when the car is cold; but did not mind since he is in love with the car and the engine. Regardless of aforesaid, glad to hear that the update is working and looking forward to receving mine. br
  13. Did tge rattle settle or have you figured out the cause? I believe I have the same rattle. New vehicle. Not always. Only on rough surfaces but not over potholes and when its warm outside (thinking temeperature difference). Tnx
