I bridged a cable from the working lamp yesterday and yes, it illuminated but the dash light stayed on. ive got an issue with a speedo needle not illuminating (separate issue) and my rear wiper is only wiping once instead of intermittent. so I think I’ll go to my Skoda specialist. thank you so much for your help though!

Thanks, all the vehicles lights are good except this number plate light. tested the leads today just to rule out the lamp holder connector. it’s looking more like a broken wire between inside the boot and fuse board. stupid car.

Thanks for the reply, dash light stayed on. will take the inner boot lid trim off at the weekend to see if there are any obvious breaks. Thanks again

I’ve been through the manual and there’s only one fuse. can’t be that as the near side one is working. thanks anyway

Warning light on dash appeared today halfway through my day. Came home to find the offside lamp had gone out. Changed bulb, still not working. Switch lamp holders, offside holder works in near side wiring. So then bridged the near side live to the offside and the bulb illuminated?? so it must be the wiring. stumped where to look next. I’d be super grateful if anyone could give me any pointers. Also do I have to use vcds to clear the dash error light? im sure it can’t be a fuse as the near side is fine. Thanks
