Rusty nuts thanks pal the cd cleaner worked a real treat the brushes on it were jet black coming out and it it’s working amazing even the sound quality (which I was already impressed with) has improved I never even thought to try it so you saved me a good few quid there buddy!!

Thanks for the reply, kind of what I was expecting to here but never thought to try get a cleaner so that’s the next step. but failing that would my best option be a newer model one and would it be a straight replacement? Thanks again for any help

Hey all, I’m new to this so if I’ve done sonething wrong let me know I have a mk2 superb elegance with a Columbus head unit, everything in the car works as it should except the head unit won’t play dvds. i have tried many different (all genuine and most new) but everything it spits it out saying error but this neve happens with my music cds! im wondering would this need an update or is it likely to be the dvd drive faulty any help or opinions are much appreciated and thanks in advance jamie
