Hi, So my Elegance has the max wheel size, I think 19 inches. The problem is with the dreadful potholes in the UK tyres are being damaged almost continually. I am wondering if getting 16 inch wheels would improve matters with the tyre damage. I am wondering if it will improve ride quality significantly as well. Obvously, there is the cost of new wheels against this. Does anyone have any advvice or suggestions? Any ideas on where to get wheels Thanks i advance. Andrew

Success! I changed the bulbs , grand total of £1.78 at Europarts. Used this video to change the bulbs. It didn't seem to work until I put the light switch to the small square to the left. After that it seems to work on that and on auto as well. Thanks all for the help.

Thanks, fair point. I have seen a video where there is a dashboard warning when the bulb fails. I take it the DRL works OK on your Superb Mk 2? If I know it should work then it is just a question of fixing it. However if it doesn't work, say on UK cars then not so easy.

Thanks for the help. I am a bit baffled as to how a top of the range model (Elegance) has the layout for the lights but there is not the bulb provision. It is not clear under what circumstances they do work.

It is supposed to be possible to activate daylight driving lights, which are the ones at the bottom. You are supposed to be able to do the activation by setting them up in the lights setup in the maxidot console. I have done this but they don't work. I have also tried turning on the engine with the indicator lever moved, as described in the manual, but this doesn't work either. Any ideas anyone please?

you have to set it manually for a specific speed so it is not much good when the speed limit changes all the time. Unless there is some way round this I don't know about

I was wanting an sound alert when the car goes over the speed limit. Waze does it a bit but is not that clear, maybe I can tweak it a bit. Goole just shows the speed, Thanks anyway.

Hi, Does anyone know of a satnav app with a decent speed limit warning and lane guidance given the shortcomings of Columbus in these areas? I don't mind paying a small amount. I tried Tom Tom Go which has a speed limit alert but no lane guidance. It is a bit annoying that a speed limit warning is not standard in the car as it is with a Volvo.
