Weirdly worn brake disks
Nasty sound this morning - passenger wheel, scraping noise and screeching like a banchee! Noise was with the wheel turning while moving … obviously… anyway - parked up and looked at the brakes (it sounded a bit like when I had a brake pad come loose in a drum - maybe a little less rattle) the front pad on the passenger side was worn right down at the front only, rear of the pad appeared new! Checked the other side - it was the same! Beautifully chamfered! I was wondering if there are two ‘pots’ and if they are on separate systems - and maybe only the front pots are pushing? Is that possible? I had the brake system - pads and disks replaced a year ago, so m thinking maybe there is some missing brake fluid - I’ll try and check.. I’m an Mc wrencher but don’t know cars so we’ll. any ideas - im thinking the noise could have been the disks and brake pads. Taking the car anyway for a service tomorrow at the same place that did the brakes last - could it have been that they didn’t fill the brake fluid… I think it takes less than a year to wear like this though - I guess it could have leaked at some point recently - need to look in the reservoir I guess… so have to look where that is..any thoughts welcome!

My obd2 is giving me error code 10514 I’m in limp mode, any suggestions, there isn’t a lot of information I can find on this issue. Not sure if there is anything I can do to narrow it down.
