  1. Thank you so much for all the advice and screenshots. I was away with work last week so finally got the chance to sit in the car and have a play around and just like you nothing seemed to connect right but once I deleted everything and started again it seems to be working now and connection is working but not again the internal car wifi which is perfect! I can’t think of any other reasons why would need an active sim plan on the actual car now?!
  2. Thanks for this. I hadn’t even thought to delete everything and start again! I’m trying this tomorrow, will report back
  3. This is what I need to work out how to do, leave the wireless connection so car play works but make it use the phones network connection for data 🤔
  4. I was thinking the same actually earlier when playing around in the car. I can connect ok to my phones personal hotspot, but I need to try it whilst out on the road tomorrow. But it’ll be a bit annoying if you have to keep manually connecting, maybe it’ll do it automatically tho?!
  5. Hi Timwolf, Did you find a solution? Im having the same problem in my Skoda. When connected by wifi to apple carplay it’s then not utilising my phones network connection so no data unless i turn off wifi which defeats the object of having car play when trying to use maps etc.
