Oh man of means!
-
Calm down it isn't that exciting. Lol

Got mine on 29/09 and it does have the new ice scraper with tyre depth measurement.
-
No but diesel likes to be driven more to clear the particulate filter and to justify the original extra cost of diesel.
-
But as the legal speed limit in the UK is 70 mph on motorways I would be frustrated in having a motor that would do 150mph but couldn't do it. I have no plans to go on the autobahn. Also a 272hp petrol would be thirstier and more to insure. I pass on that one.

Well I was impatient so went for diesel. It will also be a good excuse to do more miles. A big car like that is good for longer journeys with loads of room.

Ah that is what those paddles are for. I did wonder. Thank you.
-
Ah but did you go for a petrol version? I have been told mine had its own WLTP test as I had many extras added.
-
Probably the steering wheel. Lol

I am picking up my Skoda Superb 2.0 DSG 150ps TDI in Velvet Red tomorrow. Mine was also built in wk34.
-
I went for 2.0 150ps DSG because I could see that there would be long delays with petrol engines. Gasoline Particle Filters to be fitted which, I would imagine would require software upgrades to ECU. WLTP testing would obviously slow the process down as well. As far as the "how long will it be", I have read several articles with no definitive answer. Some were suggesting spring 2019 but that would appear to be speculation and not based on specific facts.

Gone are the days when cars were covered in wax. Have a look at the Skoda Storyline about current treatments before transportation. https://www.skoda-storyboard.com/en/company/skoda-way-customers/ As far as delivery times are concerned, my car went into production in week 34 (20th August) and was shipped from Emden to Sheerness arriving this morning. I have been notified by the dealer to expect to collect before the end of the month.

Because of the delays with petrol engines, due to changes to fit particle filters and WLTP, is exactly why I went for diesel. Ironically diesels push less CO2 into the atmosphere and with ad blue I believe the newer diesels are a lot cleaner. After all this time they now decide petrol cars need a type of particle filter as well. All of the confusion and inaccurate reports are causing a lot of harm to the industry.

What a coincidence. I am also waiting for a MY19 L&K Superb Estate 150 SCR DSG build week 34. I had an email, this morning, from my dealer, confirming my car is now in transportation and should be available, all being well, for collection on 28th September. I would imagine the two cars will be travelling together to the UK .
