  1. Hi Thanks for the message. I've had the car 8 years and it is a new problem. There is no smoke even under acceleration and no pools or drips of oil. Its booked in next thursday at a VAG dealer, ill let you know what happens. Chris

  3. Hi thanks for the reply, I do check the oil before a longer journey, but not on local run arounds tbh. Yep thats the engine. From what i can research it could be the PCV , The pressure control valve, this may be faulty and dumping all my oil when it malfunctions. I think ill book it in with a VAG dealer/franchise who may be better dealing with this than a local garage. Thanks
  4. Dear Skoda folk, can you help ? 2 weeks ago my low oil pressure warning light came on, very little oil was showing on the dipstick. No smoke, no oil drips no change in performance its done 108,000. The car is regularly serviced. The car was taken a garage, they did a service, new oil, filters etc, cleared the code. The car went 80 miles and most of the oil was lost and the low oil pressure light came on again. The car went back to the garage and the low oil pressure sensor was replaced and oil replaced. 30 miles later the low oil pressure light comes on again, reasonable amount of oil present. Any ideas folks ?
