  1. Just re-read the configurator and it says "Front Seats" So presume its £550 extra for passenger seat adjustment!
  2. It appears as an option on the website car builder?
  3. Ah, didn't realise that. Good job I didn't add it to the order as you can be sure I'd have paid for it!
  4. Thought there was another thread like this, but couldn't find it. Had the Superb delivered on Friday (ordered in November and delivered exactly when they said). SE Business in Petrol Blue. Options picked were: Colour Maxidot & 18" wheels. But when it arrived it had electronic drivers seat adjustment. Bonus! I know a few people were having the boot opening without ordering, but anyone else still getting unexpected extras? I haven't had a really good look around yet, so may well have some other small things.
  5. I think most of the deals must be from the same finance company, just different brokers as the total prices are almost identical when you factor everything in.
  6. I've been told that my car (SE Business) will come with leather/alcantara. I queried after different parts of the Skoda website said different things.
  7. What spec did you order? I don't think the limited options would change mine too much. Hope not anyway!
  8. I've just put the order through for a new lease car - Superb SE Business Estate. Reviews seem positive and the price is very good. I have been given 14-16 week delivery. Does anyone know if this is likely to get pushed back? I know VW have a habit of pushing back delivery times. We are pushing it fine as the current car goes around the time the Superb will arrive, so I am hoping it won't be the case.
  9. I'm also having issues with radio reception. I tried to get to the hidden menu on the Stream head unit we have, but there isn't a menu button. Any ideas? I know on some Stream units its bottom right, but the button layout on ours seems different. I thought MODE might be an alternative, as it accesses menu type features, but holding it does not work.
  10. Well a dealer quoted £40 and said they needed at least 30 minutes and had to plug the car in... so lets forget that. Strange how the code written on the radio unit won't unlock it?
  11. What if it is not the original car it was fitted to? And is there a way I can find out? I know we have an ex-police car, so chances are the radio was removed.
  12. We have had our Octavia for almost a year and the whole time the radio has not worked. Enough is enough, I need some sound! It needs a code to be added, but although there is a code written on the radio in permanent marker it doesn't work. Does it need to be dealer activated or if I buy another head unit off ebay, will that work?
  13. We are using Vredestein Snowtrac 3's. Very impressive, although we only put them on towards the end of the snow so didn't tackle anything too extreme. Previously we had Matador winter tyres, although budgets they were excellent and we had 3 winters use and would have had another I think. I can't compare them directly though as they were different sizes/cars and 4wd/2wd.
  14. I've had similar at supermarket types in the past. Very aggressive sales techniques and in the end we walked away. I think its either worth paying a little extra and going to a dealership or going for a private sale. People who sell cars for a living tend to be very good at lying or hiding the truth, where as you can usually work out if a private seller is honest and genuine pretty quickly.
  15. That's not what I said, although I mis-read the quote and I most agree with it. What I mean is that 2WD with suitable tyres is better than 4WD without.
