  1. Thanks for the heads up - I will give the main stealer a call and see what reception I get.
  2. As only one fob drains the battery I had satisfied myself already that it was faulty, I didn’t know if it was a common issue or whether there might be a simple fix though? Not sure I can be bothered to have the inevitable battle with the dealer to try and sort a replacement - they will just change the battery and claim it’s fine, which it will be for three weeks...
  3. One of my key fobs for my 1.2Tsi (110) Rapid has started to drain batteries in around three weeks. Anyone else experienced this or happen to know if there’s a fix for it (other than replacing it)? Typically it started just as the manufacturer’s warranty expired....
  4. I did a track day there yesterday - lunch break was 12:30 to 1:30. That won’t affect your 5am start though
  5. Joined the site too late for this as it’s now full. I wonder if there’s a reserve list in case anyone cancels I could possibly be added to??
  6. Hi everyone. I purchased a 2016 Rapid 1.2Tsi sport yesterday as needed a more practical car, I’ve managed the last 18 months with just a two seater convertible that has no boot! Time to grow up a bit... I’ve had a couple of VAG group cars previously (Pasatt and a Sharan) both were diesels with the bullet proof 1.9pd engines. Well not quite bullet proof, one of them didn’t appreciate being driven through a flood too quickly and getting hyrdolocked (not by me I hasten to add). First impression of the Skoda is good - I really can’t get over how much space there is (I believe it’s underpinnings are Fabia / Polo / Ibiza ?) or how much car I appear to have got for not a lot of money. It’s not due an oil change for another 4500 Miles, but I will be doing an oil change in the next week. Regular oil changes are deeply ingrained in my car maintanence ethos - I tend to keep my cars a long time and self-service them, so it costs very little to make sure they have clean oil. Today I will fitting a dashcam though, never go anywhere without one these days...
