Potential hijack here but would it have upgraded clutch packs for stage 2?
-
Thought as much, only £8 so it’s worth a solid try anyway. Cheers for the help.

Hi, Just picked up a new stereo (xtrons pf81mtvst) and I’m tryna identify what this wire is coming from behind the radio bit. I believe it’s a dual fakra cable and would the link here allow me to plug it into the existing cable and plug into the antenna slot in the new radio? https://www.amazon.co.uk/Antenna-Keple-Motorola-Connector-Diversity/dp/B07HLYYZTM/ref=asc_df_B07HLYYZTM/?tag=googshopuk-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=310747102469&hvpos=1o1&hvnetw=g&hvrand=15745665835836999033&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9046397&hvtargid=pla-632338871173&psc=1

2013 Fabia Engine Lifespan
jamie6210 replied to Jimmybourne's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk II (2007-2014)
Just to add to what the other two have said, if you've spent all that cash and fixed the usual problems with the twincharger then I don't see the point of getting rid of it. At the age of 6 years old, youve probably replaced the water pump & if not that will be due soon. That'll set you back a few hundred £'s (dunno about AUD labour rates etc). One area that I'd be careful of is the gearbox as those repairs can get extremely pricey. Do you know if yours required the software update "34f7"? Overall I'd keep it after putting that much into it as it seems the worst has already came. If you get another used car, whos to say that doesnt need other costly repairs. Atleast with your right now, has those repairs done. -
With it being a 2013 and on that mileage you’d be looking at replacing the water pump soon if it’s not already been replaced. That’ll set you back around £400 (I paid £450 a few months ago) so that’s something to think about. I also assume you’ve looked into the engine lil issues with the CAVE and gone for a 2013 one as that should be CTHE which had less of these issues. You probably also want to know if it’s had the software update for the gearbox called ‘34f7’. I believe not all gearboxes required this so it’s something you’ll need to check. There’s more info on this in some of the threads pinned to the front page.

2010 Fabia VRS New owner from sunny E.Sussex
jamie6210 replied to ArranMac1's topic in Hellos and Goodbyes
Yeah remapping is something I've been considering but there's not many companies that I'd let near the 1.4 twincharger with a barge pole. I've been eyeing up APR as I know a few members have got that on here and are happy with it -

Welcome to the forums Arran, be sure to check out the mk2 fabia forums as there's plenty of info & guidance in there. As I've also got a green mk2 vRS I've gotta say you've got good colour choice -
Official Briskoda Fabia II vRS Register
jamie6210 replied to ChrisRs's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk II (2007-2014)
Date of registration: January 2013 - CTHE engine, gearbox did not require any software / oil updates as I've checked with Skoda. Colour: Green Options fitted: Black pack, Climatronic Photo: Bought my vRS back in September 2018. Currently got around 56k miles on it but I only do around 3/4k a year. In terms of modifications, I recently got the centre silencer deleted and it's just loud enough for me I'd say. Put wider (215/40/17R) PS4's on it as well if you class that as a mod(?). I might look at getting it tuned by APR in the future but I recently just renewed warranty on it so it'll be a few months before I do that I think. Overall its a class car to be driving at 21 years old, insurance isnt too bad coming in at £800. Hope it brings many happy miles in the future. Centre silencer delete -
Team Heko Wind Deflector Problem
jamie6210 replied to Thompa021's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk II (2007-2014)
Sorry for the delay. Just had a look and took a couple pictures of the drivers side ( exact same on the passengers). Here is a few pics of the clip placements. Also took a clip of the window going down & up on my phone. Sorry for the indivdual clips, uploaded direct from my iphone as I couldn't be bothered to put it on my computer and put them together -
Team Heko Wind Deflector Problem
jamie6210 replied to Thompa021's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk II (2007-2014)
I’ve got some on my car at the minute and no noises come from when I operate the windows. I’ll have a look in the next hour if you want where my clips are on the window. Think I’ve only got one per window -
Not to mock you or anything, but couldn't you have got a loan from a friend / family member to cover the cost of a working tailgate and then sell the car in a working condition? Then repay the person you got the loan from (with interest or a few beers) and lose less money on the car? Can't change whats happened, just sad to hear a good car gone has gone to waste.

Quite cheap to be honest, might pick up a pair but that estimated delivery time is making me wonder if I'll receive it before Christmas

Looks good Urban, how easy was the installation? Might be something I consider putting on my car. Have you also got the link to the ones you got in Taiwan?

Thanks for the help, I appreciate it. Im going to book the ps4’s for next week and go with 215. Cheers

Was reading what other people have gone for on the forums here and noticed quite a few people had 215s put on. I'll probably go with them as I assume theres no issues with fitment etc with the increase?

Hi, I'm looking at replacing my avon's zz5's which are currently 3mm on the front. Anyway, I was wondering what recommendations people have for the fabia mk2 vRS? Currently been eyeing up the pilot sport 4's.

What year is it and do you know what engine you’ve got in it? (CTHE or CAVE) I’ve had my 2012 CTHE for almost a year now and had to change the water pump a couple months in. But seen as yours has been done that’s sound. I did also have a quite expensive problem with the dsg. The direct shift broke in the gearbox and mostly everything was replaced in the gearbox. Haven’t seen many (if any) stories of this happening so think it was just one of those things. Ive had no oil consumption issues as of yet, I’ve only had to put a litre in it and that was due to it being on the low side when I bought it anyway. Overall I’ve enjoyed the car for close to a year and I’m hoping to have it for a couple more.

Probs the best route, I’ve ran this since I got my vRS

Was just wondering if anyone knew the dimensions for a pipe to be put in place instead of the centre silencer? Saw some mentions of 2.25" pipe & 465mm long. Only asking as my mate works at a metal fabrications unit and needs the measurements. If not he’ll probs come and take the measurements at some point this week and fit it to my car.
