Yeah, I suspected as much. Just thought I'd check in case there was any common known issues.

I was cruising at around 60mph today and the EPC light came on. No loss of power or loss of revs I could discern, everything felt absolutely fine. When I had the opportunity I pulled up and applied the IT approach (turned it off and back on again) and no more light and I went on my way for another 50 mile without issue. Has anyone any idea why it might have come on, can I expect impending trouble? I have an extended warranty so I may call my dealer on Monday and see what they say.

Just a quick boring update for this, the garage confirmed a new media screen was required. Didn't have to pay a penny as it was covered on the Skoda extended warranty. Bone was the original screen had a scratch in the middle from when I bought it so that is now gone.

Old thread revival time. My 67 plate Octavia has just developed the exact same problem in the exact same place. I've got it booked in for next week and I took the skoda extended warranty so hopefully no drama (or cost) getting it replaced.
