  1. Yes, thanks (appart from the bruised ego and fractured wallet!...)
  2. Thanks. Luckily the light is ok - that's just an edge inside the lense or possibly a reflection...
  3. Well, the snow got the better of me and I had an argument with a crash barrier... My lovely 02 Superb was immaculate until today. Does anyone know any good parts dealers or breakers that they can recommend? (I'll need a front bumper & n/s front wing as you can see)
  4. All of a sudden I seem to have lost functionality to my steering wheel stereo controls and the stereo component of the LCD display in the dash has disappered. The weird thing is that the cruise control buttons on the other side of the steering wheel still work as does the stereo itself. Anyone know if there is a specific fuse for these bits that are dead or know of any other plausible reason that they have suddenly stopped working?!...
  5. Sorry Bishops Stortford, so anywhere in North/East London, Herts or Essex...
  6. My 1.8T is shortly due it's 70K service... My local dealer has quoted me around £650 for a major service, brake fluid change and new cam belt  Can anyone recommend a cheaper, reliable alternative to a main dealer?...
  7. Ah, that makes sense. It's supposed to be some sort of Xenon kit that a friend said he'd do for me. To be honest I think I'm gonna pass... it all sounds too much like a recipe for disaster!
  8. Help. I'm considering a headlight mod but the kit instructions state:- 'if your vehicle has ground side switched headlights, this unit will not work'... Does anyone know if the 02 1.8T Superb has these or not?!...
  9. It may be a status warning?... Try this:- Press and hold the small toggle switch on the tip of the windscreen wiper switch. After a few seconds you should get three options displayed on the centre LCD screen (between the rev and speedo). Off the top of my head these are: Trip Computer, Status and Display ON/Off. Press the same button until 'car status' is highlighted. After a few seconds the screen will switch and display status issues such as washer fluid low, service due, replace bulb etc etc... If there are no issues, it should just say Status OK. There's one other possibility:- the parking lights. Have a look at the ON/OFF slide switch on the front of the indicator arm. If this is selected on then it means that your parking lights are on. They will only activate when the ignition is off and the indicator arm is set left or right. Opening the door in this state will sound a warning tone so that you don't drain your battery (NB, parking lights seen the most pointless thing to me. Why would one dimly lit side light be of any benefit to other drivers - surely if you're parked in a dark position then you should have either your side lights or hazard lights on?! Rant over!) Hope that helps...
  10. Hi (New user, so sorry if this has already been discussed in a previous thread...) I was wondering if it is possible to change the green dash lights in the superb for the blue ones like those that the VW Passat comes with? Can it be done for the whole front console (inc. stereo, climate control etc)? Is it easy?!... Thanx
