Fabia alarm turn off (changing battery)
The situation was that the battery was very weak from being flat too many times (long story) but at the battery world dealer I went to have it replaced, as soon as we disconnected the battery the alarm went off. Just wondered if there was a way to avoid it next time (if there is a next time). Seems there isn’t. jason.

Fabia alarm turn off (changing battery)
Just used the fob. The original battery wasn’t totally dead. It just wasn’t holding charge for more than a few nights.

Fabia alarm turn off (changing battery)
The car was not locked and the bonnet was obviously up when we disconnected the battery for replacement. wouldn’t have expected it to go off with an unlocked car. But it did. luckily we had the new battery there so it was only around 30 seconds or so of that alarm going off. Jason.

Fabia alarm turn off (changing battery)
Hi all. i had a new 12v battery fitted about a week ago, and as soon as it was disconnected, the alarm went off, and no amount of button pressing would stop it. it wouldn’t stop until the new battery was in place, and then I could press the unlock button and stop it. is there anyway that it can be stopped or turned off so if it ever happens again I don’t have the same thing happen ? i know the button inside turns off some features, but that’s just the motion sensor and the towing sensors. as far as I know it does t actually turn the whole thing off ? jason.

Fabia factory style switches for the blanks ?
Thanks for looking up the factory part number, but as you said, highly unlikely it will work with my aftermarket seats. I was really looking for a switch that would fit in place of the blanks that would at least look factory. that might not be possible. thanks again. jason.

Fabia factory style switches for the blanks ?
Thanks for the link. ill look into it. Trouble with a wrecking yard is that no Australian Fabias were delivered with heated seats. It wasn’t even an option. I’ll have to keep searching the web till I find something that will work in those blank switch positions that looks at least a little like factory. thanks. jason.

Fabia factory style switches for the blanks ?
Hi all. im looking for a factory style switch for a light bar that I can fit into one of the blanks that are near the start stop switch. id rather not just put some ugly after market looking switch there if it’s avoidable. would also be interested in some that will fit where the factory heated seat switches are. my car didn’t come with heated seats from the factory, so those are blanks. Even though I now have heated seats. I want to relocate the heated seat switches that I have to the factory location if I can find suitable switches that look factory. anyone have any ideas where I might be able to get said switches from ? my car is a 2018 Fabia Monte Carlo wagon / estate. thanks in advance, jason.

Oil change / service interval question
I have a question about service intervals. My my car is due to have its first service in 4 months or around 5,000 km. The car has aprox 9,300km on it now. The other day it started displaying a message that says “oil service due in xx days” it started at 30 and is now 25. That would put the service due around 10,000km and not the 15,000km the dealer sticker says. Which is it ? 10,000 or 15,000 ? I will be asking the dealer soon, but can’t get to them for a few weeks. Anyone know ? jason.
