  1. Sorry if this is the wrong category. I have a 2014 Rapid Spaceback 1.6 CR Diesel. I've had the car a few months now and notice when the car is under load (even cruising on the motorway at say 60mph) when I accelerate the engine makes a clattery sound. It sounds like a bag of nails being shaken in a tin. The car drives fine, but I've never had a diesel make such a racket before. I'll try get a video that captures the noise if I can.
  2. Thanks Camelspyyder. I'm only looking at going for a wider tyre, not necessarily the diameter. I just think 185 sounds absurdly narrow for this day and age! I may lose 1 or 2 mpg on slightly wider tyres I would think.
  3. My Rapid has the tiniest tyres - 185-60-15. Honestly my old Seat made in 2000 has tyres that size! Am I able to increase the tyre size to 195 or even 205 on the same 15" rims? the rim is 6J x 15 ET38
  4. Hi everyone. Just bought my first Skoda which is a 2014 Rapid Spaceback. It's a beautiful car, I'm just getting used to the slow engine compare to my old Seat Altea 2.0TDi which had 35 extra horses. I'm based in Scotland.
  5. I've just joined this forum having just bought my first Skoda (Rapid Spaceback) having always driven VW and Seat (anyone want to buy my Altea 2.0TDI ;)). Just wanted to say after reading all the advice offered on this thread that it is nice to see people sharing common sense. Good to know I'll be surrounded by sensible people.
