Update. Injector seals were the problem.

Any thoughts on the tandem pump causing this problem

Update. Fuel pump and glow plugs done. Started and ran well yesterday. This morning problem starting again, it turns over but wont fire. Several attempts then ok ! Any ideas. Thanks

Thanks, The problem is intermittent, full diagnostic shows no errors at all. Glowplugs is a cheap job so I'll try that, they are the original ones. Fuel pump was an expensive attempt at a fix !

Recently my mk1 vrs se wouldn't start. No code errors, battery and alternator OK. I changed the fuel lift pump, problem still there ! After a squirt of "easy start" car started and runs fine. Any ideas what could cause the starting issue. Thanks in advance.
