  1. I just tried the link and it works fine for me. The link downloads a file named 'downloader.exe' which is quite safe (virus checked OK). When you run the exe file you can start the 5.81GB map download.
  2. I can confirm I have had to deal with commerce/business at DM Keith. I called my local Skoda showroom which happened to be DMK to try to match a quote from a non dealership. I was passed to the business side but they treated me just as a PCH from the getgo and managed to match the price I was quoted. I prefered to go direct to dealer which is why I made the call initially, but wasn't expecting to get anywhere as I assumed they would always be more expensive.
  3. Just to add I am using DM Keith. Seem good so far (famous last words).
  4. Hmmm I think I may have found it http://www.skoda.co.uk/owners/roadside-assistance I was not aware of this!! So I should be covered directly from Skoda it seems, everyones a winner!
  5. I just noticed this was also mentioned but I didn't realise anything like that would be covered if I don't have a maintenance plan so was going to keep our current breakdown cover. Then I found the following on a leasing website (although I know all deals are different): " If you don’t have a maintenance package included in your lease agreement, you may still be covered for breakdown as part of the manufacturer’s warranty. Breakdown cover typically varies from one year to five years and usually starts from the date of vehicle registration. " Does anybody know if Skoda have such a thing in place? I will have the car for 3 years so will I be covered for breakdown or do I need to check my individual contract when I see it?
  6. Thanks for the info. I am paying £6690 altogether over 3 years rather than 2 which I have calculated to just under 33%. Not too bad I suppose, like you say 3 years of (hopefully) hassle free motoring!
  7. This thread scared me to begin with! These prices seemed very cheap to mine starting at £69 a month. This is my first time leasing and I think I have the maths right but could someone confirm I have not been ripped off because I did haggle Direct from a main dealership the 1.5 Hatch TSI SE Technoplogy manual. 9+35 10,000 mpa £1370 initial. £152/month for the remainder. I have calculated both gRoberts (£2500 + 23x£85 8000 mpa) and mine (as above) to have the amortised values of approx £185. Is that right? And is that good for such a family car? Cheers all
  8. Thanks everyone for your very helpful input. Cheers
  9. Thanks very much for uploading that PDF, it's nice to see one form this year rather than 2016 Much appreciated so will go and do some reading!
  10. "Driving mode selection (eco/comfort/sport/custom)*" seems to be standard on the SE so I would think it would be on the Tech but glad to be told also! The Tech seems to be more like the SEL rather than the SE but I am not quite sure the difference between the SEL and the Tech.
  11. Thanks Loada for letting me know that, interesting to know it has auto lights/wipers. I assume that is "Intelligent light assistant with high beam assist and rain sensor" which is specified in the SEL rather than the SE. Most of these are probably as standard in the Tech but just confirming them if yours does have the following: Electric windows front and rear "Rear seat split and folding with armrest and storage box " - showing on SEL ACC/Front assist - though gRoberts had said this is standard already 3 key personalisation Front and rear parking sensors 8" Amundsen inc SatNav etc The Tech seems to be very similar to the SEL by the look of things. Cheers all
  12. It is quite confusing isn't it! I have also found this http://www.skoda.co.uk/SiteCollectionDocuments/Brochures/SE_Technology_Model_Brochure.pdf but it is from 2016 so maybe slightly different now. Even this throws up questions though as it states Adaptive cruise control is standard but then it shows as an optional extra and says (includes front assist) next to it. So do they come with ACC as standard also with front assist? Not sure . Thanks for your info and we will just have to wait till they arrive and see what is standard. Cheers
  13. Hi all New member as we have just ordered an Octavia Hatch 1.5 TSI ACT SE Tech which we are looking forward to receiving. Just wondered if anyone knew where you can view the equipment as standard in the Tech. Is it the same as the SE or SE L or somewhere in between? I have had a look at the new pricelist at http://www.skoda.co.uk/SiteCollectionDocuments/downloads/brochures/octavia_pricing_specs.pdf which includes standard equipment lists but the Tech isn't shown here, I assume because it is more aimed at business users. I am not sure if it has things like privacy glass, front/rear parking, front assist etc? Some of these seem to be on the SE L so wondered where the Tech fits inbetween the other specs. All the best
