  1. @Fab1493 This is what I was quoted “Parts would include a lightweight billet aluminium compressor wheel, upgraded 360 thrust bearing, new seals and service bearings.” @AMD87 Pretty sure it’s the one that was running 243 bhp. Only what I’ve read on YouTube but the guy seems pretty genuine!
  2. @Fab1493 unfortunately due to other car projects I haven’t had the time nor money. However i I have also been reading into it a bit more, you’re correct in saying the 1.2 TSI is incredibly strong, JBS advise to not go over 200 bhp to ensure it’s reliable, despite this on stock internals the engine can cope with up to around 300 bhp (this is done with porting and polishing the head and meth injection along with the hybrid turbo etc) if you were to forge the engine you’re looking at 400 bhp plus with the correct upgrades but then you’re talking silly money, as well as having to upgrade brakes/chassis. The engine will be fine up to 270 bhp. As for your turbo, although the 1.4 turbo may be a straight swap you’ll still be unlikely to see the 200 bhp results you want, a 1.4 TSI stage 1 map only gets around 175 bhp. I had a quote from turbo dynamics for around £360 to turn the 1.2 TSI into a hybrid, I didn’t think this was bad considering the craftsmanship that goes into it! Then you’ll definitely see the 200 bhp you want. Your gearbox/driveline should be fine, the only thing I’d advise is a performance clutch, although the standard one will be okay if you don’t abuse it. You will probably want to run the cooling system for the turbo on a separate water system and upgrade the pre charge cooler too. Hope this helps and let me know how you get on!
  3. Yeah it would appear finding a dealer to do it is the hardest part! Think I’m going to go the same way as you and contact Skoda UK. If you don’t mind me asking what dealer did you end up using as if it’s local to me I’ll give them a shout.
  4. When I change the value from 00 to 20 and save it, that’s when it brings the symbol on, if I leave the value on 00 then my speed limiter works as normal. Haven't checked the BCM so that’s something I’ll look into, however my car does appear to have all the hardware (like the accelerator pedal) which should theoretically make it work.
  5. Wondering if anyone has more of a clue than me! Just fitted cruise control stalks to my 2017 1.2 TSI Fabia but can’t work out how to activate it? As far as I can see I’m going to have to take it to a dealer? I’ve activated it on vcds but that doesn’t make it work and just brings up an exclamation mark by the cruise symbol and the EPC fault light? Does anyone also know what and where I put the activation code, activation number and PIN code, I’m fairly new to all this so any help would be greatly appreciated. Some photos are attached that might help. Cheers!
  6. Thanks for clearing that up! And am I correct in saying the Polo Gti received the twincharge engine and the blue gt is just a single turbocharged engine?
  7. Just wondering what the difference is between the 1.2 and 1.4 TSI engines, I’ve got a 2017 1.2 Fabia and my mate has just bought a 2014 1.4 Polo blue GT and obviously the engines look identical, is there a difference in the bore/stroke, or is it turbos and injectors etc? Cheers!
  8. I’ll have a look! originally it was 110hp it’s now 142hp on 97 Ron, I’d imagine it would push 145-147hp now as I also run Tesco 99 Ron. Also have a forge motorsport intake, eibach 25mm lowering springs and 20mm spacers all round as well as a back box delete.
  9. Sounds good! Will have to let me know what it’s like when you get it back, have you gone for more of a road or track setup?
  10. Thanks buddy! And not sure yet as the company who are developing it all are still a little bit off, will definitely be uprated though. Yes! Have been running it on 99 since having it remapped.
  11. Engine shouldn’t really need rebuilding if the power is staying under 200 hp. And no I won’t be, tolerances on cars nowadays aren’t too far out, as well as that I’ve had the car from brand new so I know how it’s been run in/ serviced etc. Yeah definitely gonna need a clutch and will have a look into LSDs
  12. A fair bit to be honest, looking at keeping the car in the family a long time hence why I’m considering spending this much money on it. Also got all the equipment I’ll need if it ever goes wrong etc...
  13. Oh really! Have to say this is completely different ball game to upgrading a classic mini, lol. I shall do a bit more research into it and see what I dig up, cheers for helping out!
  14. Oh I see I see, thanks for clearing that up, in regards to an LSD what ones are best? Also is the 6 speed manual box in a 1.2 TSI the same as a mk2 Fabia vrs/polo gti?
  15. Thanks for that! The JBS hybrid turbo is looking most likely at the minute, just have to wait for them to develop it for the later 1.2 TSI engines.. In regard to the torque steer on the Mk3 Fabia it’s fitted with a similar electronic LSD to what’s fitted on a golf GTI so shouldn’t face any problems with it, well hopefully anyway!
  16. To be honest it could go one of two ways at the minute, either I can send my turbo to Turbo Dynamics and then get the car live mapped by AmD, or JBS Autodesigns are working on a hybrid turbo as well as an uprated charge cooler system. Both are also going to require a full turbo back exhaust of larger bore and uprated MAP sensors. Price is probably going to range from £1500 - 2500 depending on what I can do myself, should push around 200 bhp too!
  17. Located in Wiltshire but I’m not too worried about travelling. And thanks for that I’ll give them all a message!
  18. Looking at fitting a hybrid turbo on my 2017 1.2 TSI Fabia, however I’m struggling to find someone who will live remap it.. anyone know of anybody who can help? cheers
