Sounds like the way to go! i asked a workshop yesterday. if the trans oil did not have many miles they just drained it and filled it with the used oil. Uprated set and some tuning would be nice. ill might do a Stage 1 inkl dpf. egr delete while im there. Good luck to you!

Thanks! how did you see it was defect? did it rotate more than 5 tooth? have you desided if you are going to change the clutch pack also? about the oil filling metod i would add 5 liter with new filter. i filled without the filling tool and thru filter housing. took some time. installed old drain plug. let car run for 10-15 min. go thru all gears. connect vcds and wait for it reaches above 35C Drain. (mine drained 3dl out) so total 4.7 liter. install new drain plug/seal. and then reset dsg with vcds..

A Friend of mine changed DMF only. The Car have 212.000miles now without any problem with clutch. I guess it all depends on The driving style etc. I might only change The DMF...

Here is some more info. clutch set im about to do the job myself soon. Does the megatronic have its own oil? or is that only on 7speed box? ive read you have to be carefull not to spill any oil from that unit. Otherwise i will just Drain Dsg and measure. after job replace what came out. add alittle extra and hook up vcds and empty the small about thats left.

Did you have manual transmission? the locking tool for the flywheel? ive seen they uses common tools to lock it...
