  1. Ok. Thanks. I’ll check and see if it is a ground problem👍
  2. Mine stopped working a while back. Worked only when it was warm outside which led me to believe a wire was nearly broken in two. Today I cut three of the wires and connected them with new wires I had put in. Nothing. I cannot find where the brown one goes so I haven`t replaced that. It just disappears in the hatch. A tip to others is that you have two testpoints on the motor (two smal metal points). If you apply voltage there the motor runs if it`s good. Mine is. Anyone knows where the brown wire goes? Also checked the right side. Not there either. Any of you above found out why there is no voltage over the fuse?
  3. Sorry, should have mentioned that the pic is not my glass, just looks like it. And as usual I found the glass as soon as I posted this. Been looking for several days. The difference in cost is huge. Just heated 10-30euros. With auto dimming 300.
  4. Hi. So my left heated wing mirror stopped working, the heater. Bought a new glass and replaced it. When I took it out i noticed there was a connector, not the heater, with 2 wires soldered on the backside of the mirror; one on the upper side and one on the lower side. I cannot find a replacement glass with these wires, only heat-connectors. Anyone know what these wires do? The new one is heated and works but is missing these other 2 wires. It´s the connector on the right side in the pic.
  5. Yeah, a lot of money. But I´m thinking, the car is in very good shape, both on the outside and the inside. With a new engine it should be good for a very long time. Any ideas on the reargear-thing?
  6. Forgot to meantion. Total cost with engine, freight, installation, new PCV-valve, new oilseparator (don´t know the English word), new waterpump, cleaning of intercooler and a lot of oil (4 sets and filters)= 6000 EUR.
  7. So, the new Engine is in. Runs very smoothly. Hope it´s gonna stay that way. Only thing now is the car thinks it´s in reverse when I start it up, hence the radio stays in backwarner mode. When I actually put it in reverse and then in first gear it goes back to normal. Any suggestions? Going to call the workshop on thursday due to the holidays. Also the electric seat doesn´t move back and forth automatically when I open and close the door.
  8. Here`s a link to their page. https://mikmotoren.com/epages/9f8bf2a5-457f-4b65-9467-4e86cde14066.sf/de_DE/?ObjectPath=/Shops/9f8bf2a5-457f-4b65-9467-4e86cde14066/Products/CDAA/SubProducts/CDAA-0002
  9. Hi. It’s there on the page but in german. Lots has been done. A few things; special cleaning of the inside oil channels, honed cylinders, all chains and tensioners new, new improved pistons, new improved pistonrings including and especially the oilrings, don’t know the term for work on the top basically to flatten it, valves cleaned and checked and lots more. Basically it’s a new engine.
  10. Baking soda? https://www.enginebuildermag.com/2011/07/cleaning-cylinder-heads-and-blocks/
  11. https://www.quora.com/In-which-of-the-solvent-water-kerosene-or-cooking-oil-Does-the-coal-powder-dissolve Just looked this up. Apparently carbon cannot be dissolved so I don`t know how these flush agents can do what they say they do...
  12. I think it says the pistons are modified and the rings are improved. They say that the oilburning problems will not come back.
  13. My german isn`t excelent but this one has other improved rings, same price. More details of the job done. https://www.ebay.de/itm/VW-Audi-Seat-Skoda-Austauschmotor-1-8-TSI-1-8-TFSI-Motor-uberholt-Stufe-1/183228693376?fits=Year%3A2010|Model%3ASuperb+II+Kombi|Type%3A1.8+TSI|Platform%3A3T5|Make%3ASkoda&hash=item2aa947fb80:g:FO8AAOSw1~JZN4xx
