  1. Very easily done! I lost a “park and go” card in the same way today. A quick look suggests that retrieving it will take major surgery on the centre console so I think I’ll leave it there and get a new card. Hopefully I won’t be daft enough to do it again but that’s not guaranteed!
  2. I changed from a Yeti 1.2 SE to a Karoq 1.0 SE Nav Plus. Absolutely no regrets. Karoq is bigger, more comfortable, has more toys and better fuel consumption. Thought I might miss the varioflex seats but haven’t so far - they are available as an extra on SE models or standard on SEL and above. Go for it!
  3. I’ve been driving for 53 years and have never felt the need to have a drink while at the wheel so don’t really get this obsession with cup holders. Neither do I understand why so many people seem to be surgically attached to coffee cups as they go about their daily business. My kids think it is because I’m a cantankerous old sod - they’re probably right.
  4. My SE has the “standard” rear seats and so far I have been quite happy with them. Rarely have back seat passengers but no complaints about comfort from them if I do. They are a lot quicker and easier to fold down than the varioflex seats but they don’t fold completely flat so you get less load space than you would in a higher spec model with varioflex seats removed completely.
  5. Am I the only one who thinks that we worry too much about fuel consumption? I admit to checking my mpg when the display comes up at the end of a trip and accept that this will be optimistic. Have never bothered with working out accurate figures. The fact is that modern cars, both petrol and diesel are much more efficient than the old bangers I started out in so I just enjoy the driving experience without getting hung up on saving a few pence on fuel.
  6. Didn’t think they did an SEL with the 1.0 engine - not according to “build your own” on Skoda website anyway.
  7. Have now checked - my build date was 18/09/2018 so maybe recall doesn’t apply to my car.
  8. Tried it for my Nov 18 1.0 SE Nav Plus and there are no recalls according to DVLA.
  9. Have just picked up my 3rd Skoda from Wings in 10 years - a used Octavia Estate, a new Yeti and now a new Karoq. They have always given excellent service and a good deal. Admittedly my cars have been problem free (hope I’m not tempting fate) so haven’t had to deal with them if things go wrong but so far I would thoroughly recommend them.
  10. It is a manual, I don’t think the 1.0 is available with dsg anymore. It is 68 plate but no mention has been made of GPF or what oil is required. I don’t play with the oily bits anymore - as it came with 2 free services I’ll let dealership worry about that when the time comes.
  11. Picked mine up yesterday less than 4 weeks after ordering. I didn’t order any extras hence the quick delivery. Only driven about 50 miles but very pleased with it so far. Smooth ride, light gear change, plenty of room, comfortable and 47.7mpg which is pretty good for a brand new engine. Also seems plenty powerful enough for my needs. Has lots of goodies that I didn’t have on my Yeti so will take a while to fully appreciate it all.
  12. Took a test drive in one - very impressed with how capable such a small engine was even with 4 adults on board. So impressed in fact that I have ordered one to replace my Yeti. Hoping to take delivery in the next 2-3 weeks.
