  1. It’s worked brilliantly for 6 months, two phones connected, Spotify through Bluetooth on my personal phone. Today, both phones stopped working through the handsfree speaker. Unpaired, re paired, check settings, no iPhone updates, Spotify still works but when I phone out it defaults to the phone handset although everything comes up like it’s going to work fine. When I press for it to come through the Skoda system.....nowt, nada, zilch. Any one else suffering or do at need to Fonz it by punching the screen? It’s the Columbus system if that helps.
  2. Not had any issues tbh, seem fine for a barge. I’m not a slow driver but The 1.4 petrol isn’t a beast and it’s relatively light so doesn’t push the front as much as a heavier diesel. A well chosen line is all you need to make progress. Not had any issues tbh, seem fine for a barge. 3. I’m paying £150 a tyre fitted for P7 pirelli
  4. No issue at all with my 1.4 dsg estate, eco mode never restarts in E gear though once I’ve stopped and turned the ignition off. Eco mode is horrible for throttle response so only for long motorway drives. 32k miles on in 7 months, still happy with the big white hearse
  5. Crisis averted, my good lady wife has recovered the key.......yeah!!! Best I use them to go to the shops and buy her some chocolate!
  6. As per the title, nightmare. Still have a spare but looking to buy a replacement, what sort of job is it to buy a used secondhand one and reprogramme it to the car? What sort of cost?
  7. When I park the car overnight I lock with the handle and press lock on the key fob within 5 seconds to disable the keyless function as stated earlier by Penguin. This stops the thieves from using signal amplifiers to break in to ya car.
  8. I’ve done this a few time, bloody hurts! I’m sure it’s 2 pegs that hold it in at the bottom and you put one in and then have to use a bit of force to open up enough of a gap to get the other side in.
  9. Nah, done tens of thousands of miles on odd tyres, would bother me a bit on a front wheel drive car.
  10. Sorry, they wouldn’t give me the paperwork. Seems like Skoda are admitting that a batch of discs weren’t up to scratch. The car had 60% life in the rear pads and the car only has 18k miles, so no way the pitting to the discs was due to wear. My only advice is to inspect the discs, any pitting on them on a relatively low mileage should get sorted foc.
  11. I’ve just had my rear discs and pads replaced under Warrantee due to pitting, wow, how much nicer the car is to drive. No more grinding noises when reversing and no more droning from the rear of the car when cruising. Dealer tried to charge me but when I protested they ‘found’ the technical bulletin. Seems they originally cocked up on disc and pad material, but I had to wait 2 weeks for the new ones to arrive.
  12. I’ve had alloys straightened and welded in the past, never had an issue. Yours is not a bad story, had 18’s on a Honda Accord and went through 4 in one year. Swapped for 17’s and ended up replacing those one by one also. Honda denied there was an issue, but in a million miles of driving, the Honda is the only car I have ever needed to replace a wheel on!
  13. I think you are going to have to buy new from the dealers or put in a request through parts finder for a breaker that might have one. Have you asked the dealer how much it will be? I ride a bmw motorbike and some of the parts are criminally expensive, but some seem to be really cheap. The dealer might surprise you but you’ll never know unless you ask.
  14. It’d be nicer if it was shorter too, standard shift lever is out of a 1930s truck.
  15. Astounding difference it makes. I’m big into my music having sang and drummed in various bands over the years, the Canton system is quality once you find this setting, proper loud and crystal clear.
