TDF

Hi there good people I have a octavia TDF, the sat nav is showing no satellites ie 0/0 to save replacing roof shark antenna I've bought a replacement that plugs into the the back of the CD sat nav unit in the glove box, can any of you good people advise whether it actually does plug into the rear of the unit, if so is there a place at the rear to attach the magnetic antenna to the car for best reception once the unit is removed it is mk3 2014 skoda with amundsen unit, I opologise for the long post, Ps I'm I novice at removing the unit, any help would be much appreciated, thank you for your time TDF
