  1. Totaljobs seem to return lots of relevant positions (nearly 20,000 IT related jobs listed). Friends of mine from LogicaCMG and Detika use it for recruiting.
  2. I'm sure you'll get plenty of wireless advice, but just to reassure you 'a little', the two speed measurements are in different units. Your broadband speed is measure in Mega-bits per second and your download speed is in Kilo-bytes per second. So like for like you are downloading at around 800 Kilo-bits per second but this is mostly dependant on the capacity of the download source, internet traffic, traffic-shaping by your ISP before you even need to think about the capacity of your wireless connection. HTH
  3. Been folding with my PS3 for a week now, it takes 6-7 hours per WU and you get around 211-250 points for each. So possibly up to 1000 points per day
  4. You're not alone, I didn't realise until half-way through 'D'
  5. This SMP client is fab. I've increased my 24 hour average on an AMD 64 X2 6000 from around 500 point to nearly 1000...woohoo. What a difference optimised code makes.
  6. I generally go for a rather smart outfit in disruptive patterned material (that's camouflage to you), even though I sit on my a**e in an office all day
  7. Don't like AVG - I use Avast on Vista Home Premium.
  8. I can't wait to see that a soddin' great B-52 dropping trees all over the neighbourhood!
  9. Typical I'm always too late - I live right opposite him
  10. I've finally treated myself to a new PC, dual core AMD 64 6000+ after my old one killed yet another PSU. So I'm looking for a good upward curve on my folding stats. Just need to get a PS3 to really make a difference...Oh! It's christmas soon
  11. They are pretty good - I was with them for about a year, but if you are quick returning your films they assume you are just copying them and are less responsive with your next ones. I found that slowing down to one batch of discs a week mean't that I received my new ones after just a couple of days. This is all laid out in their T&Cs.
  12. That looks great, and sorry for being a bit thick (I only have a console gaming background) but do you use IL2 for the air racing or is there a differenet Sim for that?

  14. Cool, I got one of those for my birthday in March - not modded yet but you're right about them not liking the wet :(
  15. I really enjoyed it as well, I'm a big kid and was crying with laughter at some points
  16. The HDD is already removed, had a quick look at the mobo but it's a bit of a tw@ to get to the IDE connector that's why I thought I'd try the Live CD. Might be worth ripping it to bits this weekend though to check those. Ta
  17. My laptop's broke, BIOS doesn't recognise the HDD - I bought a new drive but still the same fault so I'm thinking the the drive controller is knackered...anyway...rather than fork out a fortune to get it fixed I thought I'd just use a live linux CD and carry on as normal but; I've burnt the ISO to CD and it boots, gives me the options menu, I select 'Start/Install Ubuntu' but then it moans about not being able to open the port on ATA1. The CD works on my desktop PC so does it need a HDD to be present for temp. files etc or should it work with no HDD fitted? Thanks
  18. A much publicised 3.3% here along with the rest of the Armed Forces, could've been worse - at least I've got the option of selling my story to the tabloids! Oh no...missed it.
  19. Some other writer! That's Eric van Lustbader don't you know. He wrote a series of 'Ninja' books back in the day Personally didn't really rate the fourth Bourne (Bourne Legacy) as good as the previous ones, but still quite entertaining. Ooh - just noticed on Amazon that there is a fifth book in the Bourne Trilogy called Bourne Betrayal, due out in June.
  20. F*&k me - that's hell of an increase, I shall have to do the same when I get mine. I wasn't planning on getting it 'til after the Summer hols but may have to change my mind now!
  21. I hadn't heard that  what a distaster if that's true.
  22. I like JB, I think that he has trouble focussing when things aren't going his way but he has turned in some inspirational drives - if only he was put in a competitive car! Really looking forward to seeing what Hamilton can do when mixing it with the big boys this season.
  23. Thanks for the tip Amanda - I re-discovered this live data feed near the end of last years season so it's good that you've re-reminded me this early on Might have to do something geeky like turning it into a windows vista sidebar gadget [Edit]Maybe I won't be doing that, I forgot it was a java thingy[/Edit]
  24. I have standards to maintain - even in piracy
