  1. Resurrecting I’m old thread here...do the above rules apply to VW T4’s too?
  2. also - if it makes any one feel any better - I have a 2016 VW Passat with a high spec and the wheel has started to wear excessively after 45000 miles. I think sometimes you just get poor quality wheels that don't stand up to real world conditions.
  3. Hey @Lucwal - I don't suppose you have a part number by any chance? Thanks
  4. Hi @AndyDavis - I’m at a similar stage to you, although I haven’t purchased a new wheel just yet. I have 2012 Roomster with standard 4 spoke wheel, ideally I wanted to rip it out and go for a racing wheel, but I’m not sure that’s even legal, let alone do-able. Ill keep you you posted though.
  5. Hi @AndyDavis - how did you get on with this please?
  6. I'm thinking that this thread didn't really go anywhere...I am also interested in replacement steering wheels and airbags
  7. Thanks @Tech1e - I don't suppose you have any pics? I've just noticed that you're in Worcester - that's where I'm based too. If you know of any decent local places to wrap the pieces, please let me know!
  8. Hello all - I'm looking to get hold of a black grill for my Mk1 Roomster - am I right in thinking that it involves 3 separate parts? Excuse the naming, but would it be... - Upper part of the grill (lip of bonnet) - main grill section - lower part of grill that wraps around and underneath the main grill section Finally - is there a VRS kit or similar that would provide all pieces required? Cheers
  9. thanks for the reply @NZ100 - as you can probably tell, I'm very new to the Roomster game. I'm in the market for some lowering and wheels for a 2012 Roomster I have just taken on as a daily, and keen to understand what my limits are with width and drop. Any advice you can pass on? I don't necessarily want bigger rims, wider would be good, and hopefully some retro looking steels. I'm also conscious of rolling circumference as I don't want to affect the odometer reading etc.
  10. Hi @PristineReflections - I'm new to the Roomster game, and your car is looking great. Could you tell me more about the coilovers you have fitted, and also the wheel/tyre sizes you have gone for? I have a 2012 1.2 Tsi with wheel specs; 185/60R15 88T 5.5Jx15 ET38 5x100 I'm keen to get mine lowered, wider wheels (preferably some retro steels) and to black out grills and lights.
  11. @NZ100 - can you please tell me - what sizes are the silver wheels please? also - is you car lowered?
  12. Hi everyone, I'm looking for a bit of advice please. I'm going to be using a Roomster for a temporary daily for the next 1/2 years but would like to make some improvements to it along the way as I'll be hanging on to it after. I'm interested in the following; Wider wheels - my preference would be to fit some retro steels - what options do i have here if I were to get second hand? My current wheel spec is; 185/60R15 88T 5.5Jx15 ET38 5x100 Lowering - along with the wider wheels I'd like to drop it too - any advice on whether a spring kit is adequate, and brands / dealers to look for? Any review would be great! Black kit for grill, bonnet trim etc - any advice on where I can find this? Anti roll bars - any brands / dealers to look for? Basic engine upgrades - any ideas on quick wins to get some more punch from the 1.2 engine? If there's any other mods that the Roomster has responded well to, I'd be keen to know about those too. Thank you very much - I look forwarding to learning more about the Roomsters, and catching up with everyone!
