Which engine?
I am in the market for a Superb Estate. In the past, I have owned and loved a 2018 model with the very fast petrol engine (155mph). I presently have a 2022 2 litre petrol Kodiak, which I find a bit rough. I want another petrol, as I have no access to home plug-in charging. So will I find the 1.5 too underpowered? Or should I go for 2 litres?

Kodiaq phone connection fails
I have a 2022 Kodiaq SE L Executive Tsi 4x4. I use an iPhone on the latest iOS (18.4). All used to be well. My phone immediately connected wirelessly to the car or connected immediately by cable. The wireless connection just stopped working about 2 months ago. I hadn't altered any settings. Eventually, I factory reset the car and reconnected the phone. At once, the wireless wifi connection worked. After a few days, I had to plug in to charge. All well and cable worked. However, after that I could no longer connect wirelessly. Now the cable connection is intermittent too. Thoughts please.

Kodiaq under bonnet sound absorber
I received this response today from Skoda in respect of engine covers: "We do apologise for the delay in replacing the engine covers, the fault is currently being dealt with and as soon as they can find an advanced engine cover all Škoda Retailers will be updated and will inform customers to book in vehicle to have these covers replaced. We are sincerely sorry for the delay in this current matter."

Engine cover. I don’t have one on my 2022 Kodiaq.

Kodiaq under bonnet sound absorber
I had my first service this month and asked about this. I was told there is no replacement and that new Golfs do not have an absorber.

Internet radio
I tried this. I disconnected the internal sim by activating wifi and logged into my home internet. I could now access internet radio. I started playing a station and it worked. But I don't spend a lot of time in the car outside my house. I logged off and went back to the internal sim and the regular internet connection via my phone. No internet radio.

System updates
Mine is saying that there are no notifications. The Superb used to have an option to go to map updates from the NAV screen and it would offer every European country with map dates.

Ending phone call
I have checked mine again and it is the same as the diagram above except that I do not have the top right button above the letter B (adaptive cruise control?). However, pressing the silver wheel marked B does seem to end calls.

Ending phone call
I have moved from a Superb L&K to a Kodiaq sel exec. This does not seem to have a phone call button on the right hand stalk and I have to use the screen. Very irritating.

Internet radio
Does this work? New Kodiaq sel exec. Connected to internet via phone. However, whenever I try to start internet radio by searching for stations, I get an "internet radio is currently unavailable. Please try later" message. Connect is enabled. Thanks.

System updates
I recently bought a new Kodiaq SEL Exec. I have been offered no updates. I’m connected to the internet as Spotify works and I think I have got Connect running. On my last Skoda (2018 Superb) wihich had a larger screen display, there were always map updates for various countries. On the Kodiaq there is nothing. It is showing me: Hardware H22 Software 0304 navigation database 22.5 Radio database 1.30.24 thanks

Adaptive Headlights
Thanks. Where are the sensors please?
-
Adaptive Headlights
Yes, I get the icon. And yes, I understand the lights have smart functions. I can also switch to left hand drive settings for driving in France.

Adaptive Headlights
I have a 2018 L&K Superb estate. When I switch on the adaptive headlights, I am constantly flashed by oncoming traffic as the headlights are not dipping. Is this a "feature"?
