  1. Skoda recently hosted an event at my workplace unveiling the new Scala to Skoda employees, but a lot of stuff was destined for the bin. I managed to nab this the other week. Got a few more smaller ones but I'm waiting to get the space in the car to pick up a big'n. There's one with the car on it, and it looks gorgeous.
  2. So yesterday I was changing the casing on my mother's key (I do these many times a week as part of a refurb service I offer) and for the first time ever I destroyed the transponder. I called someone out to program in a new one and he got nowhere other than actually wiping all keys off the car. So, another guy came to try a couple of different tools and again he got nowhere. He even removed the clocks to try and bench the eeprom but was unable to because of something about 2 connectors vs 4. Well, I had him disable the immo for £50 (even though I can do it - but my tools are in Leicester lol) just so the vehicle could be driven but of course as there are now no registered keys it is throwing up the error 'FAULT DURING KEY SYNCHRONISATION'. How on earth could I possibly get around this? I am in West London at the moment but we are going back to Eastbourne tomorrow evening so there are various places we could go to or stop off at on the way. It's a 2008 (MK2) Skoda Fabia 3 1.9TDi PD105 with the EDC15P ECU. Many, many thanks in advance!
  3. Hey, if it's quick and holds traction then I'm happy. I'm not known for being a very law abiding citizen so the speedo isn't much of an issue. :P
  4. I'm not keen on that, the gap between tyre and wheel-arch is too uneven and big for me.
  5. Looks like you're right! I was wondering why they seemed like they were decent quality. I mean I've read somewhere on here that they're known to run 110bhp standard, but 125 is mad. Oh yeah I know, but they don't look half bad in my opinion.
  6. Ooh, I'll check it out later. Cheers bud, I'll post a video of it too so you can see what I'm talking about.
  7. They're ridiculous I tell you! Michelins and Pirellis I believe, but a really strange config as clearly the last owner thought 'I'll get good tyres but I'm not doing pairs'. Looks funny though, and it's growing on me. If everything works out then it's getting Spiders in anthracite and a bit of tuning (not just a remap).
  8. Enough for the car, not enough for the engine. 145K. I'm gonna check a few things anyway as the belt tensioner is vibrating like crazy and I'm worried it's gonna go.
  9. Thanks everyone. Still wondering about the wheels though as I'm not sure if they're worth keeping. Oh yeah, I have a feeling it's been remapped as it is a slight bit quicker than the remapped PD105 I'm used to, and you can really feel that difference. Getting the car up on the carport today once the old car is picked up to be turned in to coke cans (it's a 2001 Focus 1.6 silver top - nasty stuff) as it's blowing blue smoke at idle. I think it was too full when I first checked it so hopefully that's playing a part.
  10. Might have helped you to read on a little bit. :P
  11. 1KK, so I guess it was fitted with discs before it rolled on out. Clearly someone wanted effective braking when they ordered it! Cheers pal. Could you by any chance link me to or send me the document that you're referencing? I have messaged you about it as well.
  12. Well that's exciting. Now I've just got to find out which pads and discs fit as they're a tad low. It's nice to be able to lock the rears up. Cheers mate!
