  1. Hi All, My Superb iV has developed a recurring (charging) fault. Fortunately (I hope) I have a full Skoda Warranty, but at the moment the dealer cannot get to the bottom of the fault. The problem is that when I initially plug in the type 2 plug, before turning on any power, the car tries to lock in the plug but fails and then re-tries. The charging light on the car then turns red, as a fault and will not charge. I have been back to the dealer a couple of times now. The first time they cleared the fault code and gave the car back and said "try that and see how it goes". After another charge at home, it threw the same fault. I took the car back and they said they would put their "expert" on to it. He again cleared the fault code and apparently re-set the whole charging system. Again I was sent on my way with a "that should sort it, but if it doesn't.................). They did at least document it this time and have stated that the fault code is HV 006C and that if it goes again they will investigate further with Skoda and see if the warranty will cover it etc, etc. Guess what? unsurprisingly 2 charges later, the fault has re-occured. It has now been booked in again for them to investigate further. My question I guess at this stage is, does anybody know what the fault code relates to, or come across it or the problem before? As I can't seem to find any details or maybe I'm just not looking in the right place. Any info that anybody has got would be gratefully received. Ciao4now
  2. The combination of battery and 1.4 petrol suits it just great. Combined, I think it has something like 200bhp, acceleration is better than average. I've always had powerful cars and I am more than happy with this one. On a normal day to day hybrid run I will get 55/60 mpg in reality, but always use the battery on local runs and the acceleration is addictive, so much so I want to try something like an Elroq or Enyaq VRS. The best way to find out is to give it a test drive of course :)
