  1. I've done nearly 50k in my 1.5TSI in over 2 years. I reported all of the issues within a week of receiving the car. I had every excuse in the book thrown at my like it was my driving style, it was because I was used to a diesel and it needed to bed in! The best one was don't believe everything you read on forums!!!! Any way I had the 'update' a few months ago and it did make it a lot better. The strange thing now is the turbo noise sounds like i'm a boy racer driving a subaru. Not been able to take it in because of lockdown
  2. The car had been in the dealership several times but no update until last week. Feels quicker but that's probably just the noise and me thinking I'm 21 again. (I'm 48)
  3. Hi I first posted on this topic the week after picking up my car in November 2018. Lots of kangaroo and the odd stall in first and 2and gear. Skoda initially said I needed to change how I drive blah blah blah. Anyway last week it had the update and it has definitely worked, but now my car sounds like a boy racer car with the turbo blowing when I change gear. Quite funny at first but now a bit annoying. Anyone else had this?
  4. I had mine last November and promptly stalled it the 1st time out. I've followed this thread thread since then. It went back to the dealers several times and I listened to all the 2nd quarter fix BS etc etc. I've now done 29000 miles in it and it's the same as day 1. We originally thought it was just when the weather was cold or just on a cold start but it's done the rooing and loss of power throughout the 'summer's months. After reading some of the latest comments I'll give Skoda a call as it due for an oil change next week and see if they can install the update. Fingers crossed
  5. They said pretty much the same to me. Did they email you a YouTube link talking about your car?
  6. Mines not so good. Sat morning heading up to the Lakes
  7. No mention of a fix. I think it was just to keep me happy but to be fair I've a courtesy car for 2 days so let's see
  8. Exactly the same with mine. 7500miles since Nov and still not used to it. It's in at Rochdale Skoda on Monday morning for a couple of days.
  9. I've absouluty no need to make it up. Love the car apart from the issues. Nearly 7000miles in 3 months now
  10. Yes I went in about a month ago. They said that they hadn't heard of any issues. They were not really interested to be fair as I wasn't a customer and was just passing
  11. I went around 11am they now have the car booked in for the 4th Feb
  12. And then stalling it with everyone around flashing their lights and getting annoyed
  13. What time are you in? I'll go just before or after
  14. That's my local dealer. Very interested in what happens
  15. Clutch it and boot it! I drove over 200 miles today 10 mins in Tescos on the way home and it bounced down the road. Yesterday I had another near stall or loss of power in 2nd gear while pulling away from a junction. That's the real worry for me
  16. And then stall it on a busy junction!
  17. I concur defiantly worse when temps are low
  18. Would it be possible to add a FB link for this post as I can't find it on FB
  19. Hi. That's really interesting that you mention 'dying' in first gear as that has now happened 3 times with me. All on a slightly uphill junction while pulling out. Very dangerous indeed
