Not a petrolhead, so forgive a probably stupid question. I have been gifted a skinny spare from a Mondeo estate as a possible spare for my 65 plate Skoda Octavia Estate (it came with the gunk only) - my question is whether anyone here can tell me if a Ford wheel will fit a Skoda? I asked the dealer and of course they refused to commit themselves. Any advice gratefully received. Thanks

Interesting reply Ecomatt - but quite frankly, if I wanted to do all that I'd have bought a manual! Much the easiest solution is to turn the wretched stop/start off when I get in the car. My suspicion is that it only exists to help the cars get through economy tests anyway (Oh what a cynic I am ;) )

I have a 2015 Octavia. The sat nav version showing on screen is EC1 2018 and I want to update it. The Skoda SD card is 14Gb. I don't need more than UK and France so it would seem sensible to go for the EC1 2020/2021 file at 6GB, rather than the EC1 2018 one which is 12Gb, especially as I have a slow internet connection. Will that work? I plan to copy the existing files off the SD card (and pop them on my PC as a backup!) Can I just load the 2020/2021 version, or must I go for the larger all-Europe 2018 version again? Thanks for any advice. Helen

Hi Sammy. No resolution I'm afraid, i just try to remember to switch the dratted thing off as soon as I start the car! So far it hasn't done it again. Helen.
