I should have also mentioned that I'm thinking of selling it because I'm doing too much driving at the moment and can't afford to run it. Would it be worth getting the turbo done before selling it or selling it as it is? Thank you.

Hello, I have an octavia vrs mk1 and had it in the garage for its mot. It passed the mot OK but the garage told me the turbo is leaking oil. They said it's not cracked or anything, just a slight oil leak. Not knowing anything about turbos, they told me it's over £900 to replace. I've found plenty of replacement k03s turbos on ebay but don't know how to change it myself. I've read on here that it's not difficult but quite fiddly. Can anyone explain to me in some detail how the turbo leaking oil will effect the car please and if anyone knows someone in County Durham that would replace the turbo for me with one I buy myself? The garage said they'll only fit a brand new one. Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you.
