  1. Thanks for getting back to me . Unfortunately that just shows different types of MPG etc and not just liters used. Must be a different system. Thanks all the same
  2. Hi all, After being in a friends Megane I tried but couldnt find the same function on the Superb. How do you see, in liters or gallons etc how much fuel you have used between point A and point B?? Many thanks
  3. That's insane , how unfortunate! Hopefully a quick fix. I've found for the majority of issues i've had my local dealer has provided a really good service especially considering I didn't even buy the car from them. Hopefully you'll be back on the road soon.
  4. Was in a similar situation and came across a comparison (i've just looked again and sadly cant find it) . Ended up deciding it was a no brainer to go for the SE L Executive and havent looked back, had a slightly smaller budget but opted for more mileage on the clock (I imagine)
  5. Due to the contortionist-ness of spiders I don't think i'll be able to get him/her out the same way they got in, even with a vacuum :( Surely there's a way to remove the unit. What if one of the bulbs goes? :/
  6. As per the title I've got a dead spider in my bulb housing and it's annoying me... After checking the manual, looking online and removing a couple of screws I can't figure out how th remove the unit without potentially snapping something. Pictures attached. Many thanks as per usual.
  7. It really depends on how you drive it I find, especially around town where i've had lows of 25mpg. Typically though i'd say you're looking at 50mpg with 60+ on the motorway when sensible.
  8. There are ways/adapters which allow the old systems of android auto to be converted wirelessly but they are not officially supported by Skoda .
  9. Just a small possible piece of advice. I had mine replaced a couple of months ago (under warranty) but before and work was done the technician manually lifted the boot all the way up and down saying that it would cause a reset which is known to fix certain problems. Worth a shot?
  10. I have this problem from time to time. It gets solved through a combination of: Turning the A/C off and on Turning the air power up , down and off Most effectively , Turning the A/C on full heat for a few seconds then down to LOW Hope this helps
  11. Ah good to know, many thanks. By the looks of things I needn't been as worried about warranty related things as I was. Guess that's just what they want at the main dealers though. Exactly. Maybe they didn't want to set precedent?
  12. They ended up ordering in some oil that they don't usually stock to ensure it was 90% likeness of OEM and I think it ended up taking about 5Ltrs which they haven't done with any of our other cars/vans before but they are all older vehicles. After picking up yesterday, the total cost was £73 (he did say it would be within 60 and 80 depending on "how thirsty") so pretty happy. Can't really sniff at that, got the stamp and everything and warranty still intact. They also fitted me in within a day of calling and meant I could make the 800 mile trip this weekend without exceeding the 700 mile "warning" from the car. Like I mentioned above I think they do it as a bit of a "loss leader" so we carry on using them for the company fleet. Can't believe the local Skoda wouldn't budge from £189, terrible!
  13. That's a good idea, booking online. Luckily it's been in 3 or 4 times over the last 6 months and had various software updates in that time, some forced to fix underlying problems. But definitely something to consider in future. While it's under it's extended warranty I think i'll still use the main dealer wherever I can, they actually provide a very good service and often fix things for free that could arguable not be covered under the warranty type I have.
  14. Yeah they're very good on price. We use them for our commercial fleet so they tend to offer personal stuff at a discount I think.
  15. Just an update for anyone who's in the same boat. After speaking with the dealer again who wouldn't budge on the price i've booked it in with the mechanic I used before buying the Superb . They're doing it for £70. Result. Thanks again everyone.
