I'd question that Cambelt is in the £400 region with a waterpump was £450 if i remember correctly. Why they are asking you to cover the cost of £210 would make me question if they are charging you the labour time with the replacement Water Pump and saving them selves some money

Heater not blowing warm ( Octavia mrk3)

I've a 2.0 TDI Octavia III and my Heater Matrix ended up being blocked which resulted in no heating on the drivers side, but there was still heat on the passengers side. Looking into it, there's a couple of threads on here, where it seems the Heater Matrix is a common fault on the Octavia, aswell as the Golf Mk7 Not sure if this helps, but something to bear in mind.
