Hi Adrian, thats the one, many thanks pal👍

In daylight, I can see where the tray clips in and I've managed to manhandle it into place, just need to figure out how to attach the handle so the tray stays up and in place.

Hi, as I climbed into the superb tonight, the drop down 'coin tray' to the right of the steering wheel about knee height came open and my knee collided with it knocking out of its holder. Does anyone have any clue how to refit? Also looks like the spring loaded catch has also come off.

All sorted now thanks to the many pointers on this forum thanks guys.

Just did same with my superb 3, I found a pair of pliers loosely gripping the knurled knob at the end of the damper, pull carefully towards the front seat and when it clicks gently pull out slightly. Next the should be 2 x push in buttons at the top rear of the glovebox (in the opened position) I appreciate models may be different but it should be something similar if a little logic is applied.

Thank you, I've ordered a generic kit from prime, appreciate the suggestion.

How thick am I, I really need an appropriate hardwire kit which didn't come with the dash cam....

VfrVrs, attempted the piggy back route today, no joy/ran out of daylight, looking at Youtibe vids, many use some kind of converter/inverter, is it possible to hardwire without one if these devices?

Thanks, ordered one, already onto old threads re glovebox access .. thanks pal

Sppedman .. many thanks, all interesting and I saw a similar post after mine re dash cam that's helpful. Great forum, members and info !

Can anyone tell me if the lighter/charging points are live all the time? I've just installed a dash cam which uses the charging points for its feed, when I turn off the ignition, the camera stays on etc. Thanks folks

Sorry to hijack this thread guys, I'm still new to VAG vehicles, to expand search options, will other VAG vehicles have same stud fitment as the superb? I too am seeking a skinny spare. Thanks and again apologies RocketWales for the hijack. -
Hi all, I'm still new to this forum and now posess my L&K 2.0 TDI. Anyway after a protracted wait following an SOS button fault, I got the car and was not impressed the following morning when car wouldn't start. The car is a tad over 12 months old and therefore I summoned vag roadside assist and on attending the technician told me in conversation that my MOLL battery is faulty which subsequent diagnostic confirmed and that VAG were replacing all these battery's as and when a starting issue arises. I asked if this is the case why not recall all affected vehicles? He stated that it was almost as big and in the shadow of the emissions scandal and VAG where trying to keep it quiet. Interestingly, I saw at least 10 varta battery's in his van. Anyway pleased with car and now has a £280 varta battery under warranty. Apologies if this topic has been covered prior, but as I stated still newbie.
