  1. Can anyone confirm the VRS paint codes - not the metallic one used recently but the colours used on wheels and badging? I want to add some colour to my black Skoda but would like to get a base colour from which to work from. I prefer the later green used on the Fabia R5 rally cars. Is this the same code used on the Citigo / Skoda Funstar Concept pickup / Fabia Limited? Thanks in advance 🙂
  2. Thanks for that suggestion. I had totally overlooked the A3 and I could use the whole engine and drivetrain from a PD130 to upgrade the car as part of the conversion. This project can now become a reality 👏
  3. I'm looking for a little technical guidance on the Mk1 Octavia Scout 4WD drivetrain. Essentially I am attempting to build a 4WD drivetrain for a non-4Motion Volkswagen car, using parts of a Mk4 Golf 4Motion. The idea was to use the 4Motion system coupled with a 1.9TDI variant engine but this is a problem in the UK as VW didn't bring over many 1.9 powered 4Motions and what is around seems to be lots of Golf 2.8V6 petrol 4Motions. I have already gutted a Golf for the floor, prop, gearbox and complete rear Haldex axle setup. But the V6/V5 2WD gearbox has a different pattern then the 4 cylinder engines and the gear ratios may not easily be suited to a TDI. So today i got to wondering if there was a Skoda equivalent of the Golf TDI 4Motion as this is probably a more readily available car. I was thinking the gearbox would be an 02M variant and by using the Golf propshaft, cradle etc with the box and matching diff for a 4 cylinder I could make a TDI 4Motion? Does this make any sense?
