Winter is coming , still for sale (offers accepted if within £10 of asking price) looks like they better suit a Mk1 Fabia , or other small VAG models with 5x100 stud pattern, please check your happy with the diameter / circumference of the tyres, I believe they match mk1 fabia, were fine on my mk2 and insurer's were happy but please check.
-
Still for sale then , difference is just under 10mm on radius , so similar difference to what a new and worn tyre would be.

All pics are as they are now .

Want some steel rims for my monte for winter.
arny replied to zach1301's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk II (2007-2014)
I spent ages looking on eBay etc, there is some rubbish out there, in the end bought new steel rims from my local skoda dealer for £145. I then went for 195 50 15 as they were a much better price and only 3% smaller, so the Speedo reads 103mph at 100 or 51.5 at 50mph . The Monte has gone sadly, so there are in the parts for sale forum. -
Starting to look at winter tyres...in August!

Toyo's get a thumbs up from me too , just put mine in the for sale section if this helps, sold the Monte. They gave confidence on icy roads and good grip in the snow. -
Winter steel wheels and tyres as used on my Fabia Monte Carlo , car now sold so they are up for sale. Steel wheels (15”) in good condition with no dents to rims and only slight corrosion purchased from Skoda October 2010 for a total of £145 Tyres are Toyo Snow Prox S953 purchased at the same time from Blackcircles Tyre size is 195x50x15 which is aprox 3% smaller in dia / circumference than standard 205.40.17 . Run for 2 winters , not doing too many miles so the tread is between 6.5 and 7.2mm on all tyres (as best as I can measure) . They performed very well in the ice and snow Can be viewed / picked up from my home 7 miles south east of Oxford , 10 mins from either M40 J8A or J6 . Or during office hrs in Thatcham . £260 Call / text Mark 07733000944

Thinking of abandoniny my Jap ship and moving to monte Carlo?
arny replied to -mike-'s topic in Skoda Fabia Mk II (2007-2014)
Just sold my Monte 1.6tdi 105 to buy a Civic type S 2.2 diesel . Was driving both cars for 4 weeks while I sold the Monte. You wont get a smoother ride in the Monte, if anything the Civic is slightly less ‘crashy’ over rough roads . The Monte does feel more nimble and a little go-kart like in comparison , but I am enjoying the comfort and toys in the Civic (as well as the extra performance). -
A Honda Civic , sorry all.

Any takers ? It costs nothing to run and it's in mint condition.
